  1. The gifts go under as soon as they're wrapped. It also prevents the cat from going under the tree and laying on the skirt around the base then messing with ornaments and lights. But, sometimes she still gets under there. Naughty kitty.
  2. I can't help with the clip part, but for apps you should look into Pandora and Spotify. Spotify lets you search by artist and genre, Pandora allows you to 'create' a station based off of a certain thing (like I have 3 disney ones) and it plays music relating to that as well as what it considers similar (like I have a Garth Brooks station and it also plays McGraw, Jackson, Travis, etc).
  3. This was our first year of no visitors to our door which is good since we didn't buy any candy. We live about 10-15 mins from the city, next to one house with a kid (hardly ever see him) and then one house way up the dirt road and that's it. So no point. At our old place, yeah it seemed people forgot their manners and some "teens" didn't bother even dressing up. But I let them have only one piece at the time, and I didn't mind kids forgetting their manners. They're too hyped up.
  4. Nothing as we've recently moved to a place with only one house near us with occupants. But, when we did we used to get two of the megapacks and then we'd put a few off to the side that we wanted ourselves.
  5. Hugs, that's the most you can do. And since they live so far away maybe you can find a way to send some flowers?
  6. Ours has never been downstairs, but when our house was rather large it was pretty far away so for my elderly parents it was hard to get things many times a week. So we did this. We have 3 baskets (whites, colors, jeans) and then on certain days Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays/Sundays dad would do the wash (he manages to get all days except Sundays done before 7am) and we'd gather up the clothes the night before. And this worked for 3 people, it also worked for 4 people when we made the 4th realize he wasn't going to be getting a new fresh clean towel everyday. Towels get washed Sunday as do sheets and whites, regular clothes on the other days. If our laundry room ends up further away, I'd take over the job of gathering all the clothes instead of just taking mine.
  7. Most times, you'd have to go to the webmaster (the person that has the website where the info/photo/etc is) and ask them to remove it. Even if google or any engine removes it themselves, it's still on the website itself. You could try reading over this http://searchengineland.com/removing-your-personal-information-from-google-55014, and then there's this for google https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/2744324 Hope these help!
  8. Going from a library that allowed 35 books out at a time to 3 by the same author/same subject is really hard to adjust to lol

Only 3 on the same topic?!? I admit I usually clean out the shelf if it's a history topic we're working through. I figure some of those non-fiction books need some attention anyway!

  9. Have you tried the Narnia series? There might be enough meat to those stories for you. I've only read the Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe one so I'm not sure if it'll be too much for your child. What about the little house series? There's also the Boxcar Children, but them living in their way might upset her too. Hm. What about the Twilight series? Their books are rather big. It's kind of short, but there's also Ender's Game it's sci-fi related. I don't recall anything bad in it, but it's been a few years. Uhm, The Indian in the Cupboard? Sorry if none of these work lol
  10. I don't go to the movies anymore (we're still trying to find the theatre in our new area) but I have seen the trailers for the new Penguins movie that's coming soon, it looks like it could fit comedy imo. It's based on the penguins from the Madagascar movie, so it's animated and it looks like it's set as a prequel to tell how the penguins became how they are. I don't know if that'd be something you don't want. lol
  11. It's extremely rude to 'forget' to tell your family that won't be home for dinner. >:( Especially right after staining some bedsheets and not telling anyone.

  12. I didn't see anyone answer this, so here you go. On the first page of LibrVox you can search by reader in the search box :)
  13. I was using LibriVox for The Story of Mankind, and it flips between a Kara Shallenberg and a Michelle Crandall. I prefer Kara as she put a bit of a fun tone to her words where as Michelle was just dry. Unfortunately, this is the only audio book I've used so far, so I'm not much help, sorry!
  14. Hm, bit big really. But, when I was in high school I read the entire passage from memory in front of my 9th grade english class and did rather well. Even my then-crush was impressed. Guess it always holds a memory for me. Shall I speak ill of him that is my husband? Ah, poor my lord, what tongue shall smooth thy name, When I, thy three-hours wife, have mangled it? But, wherefore, villain, didst thou kill my cousin? That villain cousin would have kill'd my husband: Back, foolish tears, back to your native spring; Your tributary drops belong to woe, Which you, mistaking, offer up to joy. My husband lives, that Tybalt would have slain; And Tybalt's dead, that would have slain my husband: All this is comfort; wherefore weep I then? Some word there was, worser than Tybalt's death, That murder'd me: I would forget it fain; But, O, it presses to my memory, Like damned guilty deeds to sinners' minds: 'Tybalt is dead, and Romeo--banished;' That 'banished,' that one word 'banished,' Hath slain ten thousand Tybalts. Tybalt's death Was woe enough, if it had ended there: Or, if sour woe delights in fellowship And needly will be rank'd with other griefs, Why follow'd not, when she said 'Tybalt's dead,' Thy father, or thy mother, nay, or both, Which modern lamentations might have moved? But with a rear-ward following Tybalt's death, 'Romeo is banished,' to speak that word, Is father, mother, Tybalt, Romeo, Juliet, All slain, all dead. 'Romeo is banished!' There is no end, no limit, measure, bound, In that word's death; no words can that woe sound. Where is my father, and my mother, nurse?
  15. But it's not social media. It's a phone call. It's just like reverse 911.
  16. I don't see it as an invasion of privacy but rather they're trying to find someone who is missing (could be for tons of reasons) and they're letting people know. Sounds pretty great of them, imo.
  17. I really don't like what's happened to Maggie or Glenn honestly. I get that they love each other, but it's comprimised the awesome roles they had in Season 1 & 2 and some in Season 3. I really hope they don't go the Lori route and have Maggie pregnant too. It would completely ruin what she's supposed to be. I saw someone mention Rick not questioning Abraham more, and I agree. He's always been so untrusting of new people, yet he's accepted Abraham, Eugene, and Rosita without a second thought. Yet he asked his series of questions to the Father. What, because Glenn and their group were okay with the new group of the three Rick is okay too? It doesn't make sense with who he's been portrayed to be in the prior episodes. Personally, I'd like for them to have some kind of "comes to blows" between Rick and Abraham. They're both leaders, they're both stubborn and set in their ways. On a side note, Judith is growing into such an adorable little baby!
  18. It's definitely possible that the Rev locked out his own people and that's why they said he'd burn for it, and it explains the claw marks. I also felt horrible for Bob. First he was surrounded by people drinking and he's trying to stop, then he loses his leg! At first I thought he had gotten bit (which would have explained the one last kiss thing which doesn't, now that I think about it, fit in with the drinking part), but nope. I'm rather curious to see if the DC part is going to turn out the way they're hoping. Right now, in my opinion, it sounds like another CDC from Season 1.
  19. Dude isn't outdated, but it's transformed into "bro!" now. He should learn bro, that one is really popular lol
  20. The only furniture our cat is allowed on is beds and the couch. On the couch we have a white blanket down that they lay on that covers all but one section as that's where my mom sits so no need. Our cat gets yelled at (rather severely actually) if she gets on anything else. She also has free reign of the bathroom we lock her in during dinner, going out, and night time. So she loves to lay on the cabinet in there, and by the window over the shower.
  21. For starters, I had been venturing into self-education only, but I realized about a month ago that I wanted to try college again. I've tried two different schools (one in Arizona one in Colorado both online) but things occurred that screwed those chances up. For the Arizona school, my mother had a heart attack at the time that I was in school so it was hard to do my work and I ended up failing badly. They wouldn't take me back despite appealing. With the Colorado one, I went for the wrong major. Anyways, I'm hoping to try and go to college at Paris Jr College (online only courses if possible) and then maybe, if possible, transfer my credits over to another college. My mind is set currently on Letourneau, but that might change over time. Right now I want to start in the spring and go for the general studies degree at Paris Jr. I should be able to go on to Letourneau after getting those 45+ credits taken care of at Paris Jr, yes? Because I graduated high school five years ago, I don't recall ever taking anything like the ACT, or SAT. Although I remember some sort of SAT test when I was in elementary school back in California. I did, however, take the PSAT in high school but I can't find my score currently. Will this fault me in any way? Do I need to pay and take these tests, or am I well past the cut off for them? Also, because I'm aiming for spring, should I hold off on applying for scholarships, or start on them? Paris Jr has a registeration date of around January 14th, with school starting the 20th, so I don't have tons of time but I still have at least two months. Also, how/when should I go about applying for the FAFSA? I've done it before and it always said I'm dependent, so that should get me some help shouldn't it? I never understood the FAFSA, honestly. Is there anything I need to do differently, or gather before I attempt to apply for Paris Jr? I already got my transcript from my old high school, so I got that covered. I'm also going to see about getting an appt with a counselor person at the Sulphur Springs Center for Paris Jr, and start things that way soon, too. Sorry this is so long!
  22. I like Brooke Elizabeth, but Brooke Abigail is nice too. I personally wouldn't go with Lila because of how many times she'd have to spell her name in the future because of how different it is, but I guess that could come with Brooke too.
  23. Been a crazy few weeks. Moved into our new place in Texas, yard caught on fire, lost power during a storm, anddd now we're just getting better internet. Wow!

  24. Neighor will not pick up their phonebook from their driveway, yet it's been there for weeks and they keep running over it. Tsk, sad lol

  25. I only just started using it, and dislike how long it takes to compare (72 hours!) for such a small sum. Right now I only got $1.24 which came from my mom's cookies being on a slightly better sale at Safeway. I would think Checkout51 would be something sorta similar, in that you get money back for buying certain items on their lists they give you, but I don't much care for the system as my list is mostly things I would never buy. There's another program like it, but I forget the name since I haven't used it much aside from a look over once.
