  1. Princess Diaries series, and well, Disney movies. You're never too old for a Disney movie in my opinion.
  2. I don't recall ever attending anything that kids weren't allowed at. That said, I'm very much of the mindset that it's their party/wedding/etc it's their choice.
  3. No it's not out of line. It's your house they're working on, they have no need to be smoking inside of it. There's no need to offer them something in exchange either. Just say how you feel, and if they don't stop go over their head.s
  4. Hardwood or carpet. Tile is too rough-looking and cold for a bedroom.
  5. It's been a long time since I've been, but mostly this is what helped us. Be sure to go early in the day, and head towards the entrance where they let people in that aren't from the hotel monorail thing, that's where a lot of characters tend to hang out first thing in the morning. As mentioned, use the train as much as you can. Also bring pain killers, a lot of the rides have little back support and you'll be sore later. If you ride Splash Mountain be prepared to get wet no matter where you sit (I once had a guy in front of me duck so a whole wave of water got me soaked to the bone). Sit down as often as you can!
  6. We're going to some Mexican all you can eat buffet place. Not much of a help. Last night we had chili made in the crock pot, I made it, and it was rather good.
  7. Only after the brownie mix is in the pan and ready for the oven do I realize I forgot to spray the pan. Ugh.

  8. I learned how to peel potatoes and carrots on my own. Prior, I used to ask my mom how to do it and she'd show me but I could never do it the same way and when I tried to I was far too slow. Using my own way (she peels towards herself, I peel away) I was able to get what I needed done. I also learned how to use our crock pot, and while the first attempt came out with some crunky burnt spots, I'm hoping tomorrow's attempt will go over much better. Lastly, I learned garbage disposals are really picky things!
  9. is it possible you might have knocked the cables lose? I notice with mine it gets this weird blue tint when the cord (it's blue that plugs into the monitor and the harddrive) gets lose since it's not connected properly.
  10. It's where you last left it That's what my dad would always say to me. It's certainly not helpful, though lol
  11. As the kid of this family, mine are a bit out there for some part. Almost every Disney movie, Shrek (not the 3rd, it doesn't really interest me most of the time), and then there are some that aren't kid-friendly. But, there are two from my childhood that have always been part of me and that's King and I ( 1956 with Yul and Deborah) and Hatari (1962 with John Wayne, Hardy Kruger, Red Buttons). My grammy watched them with me when I was a young child, and they'll always remind me of her.
  12. Our house has lucked out. We've had the same meat per day of the week since I was born I think. Sunday beef or pork roast, Monday leftovers, Tuesday beef/pork (depending on what Sunday was), Wednesday beef/pork (depending on Sun/Tues), Thursday chicken, Friday ground beef, Saturday free for all. It works even though the meals we have (roast, pork chops, steak, hamburger meat, chicken) don't ever change. Saturday is usually fast food day, but I'm planning to turn that into crock pot day. Anyways, I consider us lucky as we're not that picky of eaters and we don't have too many issues with health outside of my mom can't have too much salt and dad can't eat potatoes.
  13. The one I've been tempted to use doesn't list by room but rather separates out each task by a certain day so it's not quite what you want, but it came to mind anyways. You can view the calendar pages for each month (and Dec 2014) via a PDF and it'll tell you what to clean on that day of the month. There are even days for catching up. http://www.justmommies.com/articles/home-organization-plan.php
  14. It wouldn't phase me one bit as most of the time I don't even notice what the worker is wearing. As long as it doesn't violate the rules the store sets, it shouldn't be a problem in any way. But, if I did notice it, I would think it reflected the employee only and not the business. But again, it wouldn't be noticed most of the time by me anyways.
  15. I wouldn't chance it. The chicken will already have some juice to it once it thaws during cooking and if you add in the sauce (another liquid) and salsa (another liquid) your frozen veggies might become mushy by the time you get to it. I agree with KFP, you might be better off cooking the meal the day/night prior, freezing it and then reheating it when you get home and have the time.
  16. Atlas and Allied are both companies that do the big truck, as is Mayflower. When we moved, I looked into Bannister, Allstar and Alliance Pro/Arpin as well as some local ones. Definitely do your research first as some do include charge fee estimates on their site, and reviews can give you a slight idea of what you'll be dealing with. For example, I found one that was local but it expected you to pay X amount if you're paying by card. The only thing close to unit type that we used was Uhual, and we drove the trucks from AZ to TX but we hired movers to pack them up.
  17. I used to, but I stopped when the only thing we were getting back was about $1 or $2 from my mom's oatmeal cookies. It's hard to compare to stores around you when the only real other store is Brookshire's.
  18. I would opt for something larger, but if he's happy the way he is then so be it! I had to move from a Full to a Queen (I'm nearly 5'9" myself) simply to get away from the foot board. Footboards can be horrible for tall people lol
  19. My pillow shams have pillows inside of them that aren't used for sleeping for a variety of reasons. The sleeping pillows are in their own cases and rest against the headboard, or so, until in use. I did use one of the shams that wasn't in use from another set to protect my computer monitor (since the box is long gone) during a series of moves. Worked perfectly!
  20. The only proper way for me is that it shuts, and the blade-thing can do it's job without hitting any dishes.
  21. My dad found 6 big black binders in stuff we packed up and they're now mine! I'm so excited!

  22. It looks like it's from the 52 Weeks to an organized home group that has somehow managed to pop up on the Chat Board o_O
  23. I agree. It makes you really self-conscious. We've been having that issue too! It didn't help that our first rental house was in a spot that the GPS wouldn't even pick up. So for a while we had to drive for a bit before it realized where it was. It made for a very hectic two months trying to figure out how to get around town for sure.
  24. These wintery nights without a working heat source are grueling :(

I hope it is too! I'm extremely thankful my new bed set has a real thick comforter at this point!

  25. I don't wear bras to bed, they aren't comfortable. Nor would I wear one under PJs if I was staying home. So, going around in PJs all day would require no bra which means an extremely aching back because I have a rather large chest. lol
