  1. Franklin, Bear in the Big Blue House, Oswald, Sagwa: The Chinese Siamese Cat (adorable show of a bunch of cats that use their tails to write messages for the magistrate), Dragon Tales (can be a bit annoying voice-wise though). I wouldn't recommend Caillou (mostly his attitude problems).
  2. The best way I found to use wordpress was fooling around with it, seeing what did what. This might help you out http://www.wpbeginner.com/category/wp-tutorials/, there's a few others similar on google and youtube videos as well. Wordpress is a lot easier to use than it looks. Like I said, it takes just a matter of fooling around with the buttons and seeing what they do.
  3. I work at Walmart myself in the deli, and it's all too common for people to take food from us (usually the hot case and it's usually the popcorn chicken but I've seen it with other items even our cold salads) and then not pay for it. Throughout the day we get tons of containers back that were found throughout the store that people left behind on shelves like trash (some with food still in them that were tagged in the morning hours). It's ridiculous, and rude. I'm fine with the ones that feed their kids while they shop, but at least pay for the item.
  4. Pointing out that there IS sexual content, all be it brief, in the show a few times with Lori/Shane (implied but painfully obvious) as well as with Rosita/Abraham (they actually show them in the darkness). The gore would definitely mark it as something I wouldn't show a 13 year old. It's gruesome. I would much rather have the child watch Supernatural, and I don't even like that show.
  5. We only go to Walmart as our little city only has it and Brookshires for real groceries. There's a small store called Cash Savers, but most of their stuff is off-brand and it doesn't often carry everything we need. We do sometimes go to CVS and Walgreens, but that's for non-food stuff. Every few months we make the 2-3 hour drive for Costco.
  6. Thank you for asking Lulu, I was wondering about it too! lol
  7. I wear it because I'm so pale that I don't tan anymore, I just burn and the burn hurts too much to go without it lol
  8. Yeah the episode was due to air the day it happened, now it'll air next week. See here.
  9. It's also why Mr Robot (which is set to have a similar episode and has actually had things in it come true) had their finale postponed. TV relating to reality is getting all too common now.
  10. We usually decorate for Halloween and Christmas, but since most of our stuff has been packed since the year before last, I'm not sure what we'll be decorating for this year if at all. Usually for Halloween we put up those cobwebs you can buy at the store, some skeletons, and then we make "Grandpa". (Grandpa is basically a pair of overalls stuffed with towels, some old shoes, gloves and a scary mask with a cowboy hat and he sits in the shadows under the webs in a chair). For Christmas, we usually hang garland, put up the tree, lights outside, and tons of decorations that cover 5 tables and like 10 stockings (4 we use, the rest are just decoration).
  11. The ADT commercial with the big black man and him saying "Don't even think about it" to the burglars. The Nationwide commercial with the toddlers, one is a little boy throwing his phone then a girl (with the cutest red curls for hair) at a restaurant, etc.
  12. The intro made me sad too. I wanted cool music, and graphics like TWD has (I'm going to miss my lone zombie walking in the field when Season 6 starts up cause I'm sure he'll be removed), but nope. Although I can't really watch this intro, the light flashing is too much for me.
  13. It was a very slow boring episode for the most part for me. The mother character has already driven me insane. She just seems too abrasive and non-caring. It's like having Lori and Andrea mixed into one person. Aside from that, the plot seems rather interesting, I just hope it doesn't get weighed down too much by the family drama.
  14. We handle it pretty simple around here "We're not interested" then shut the door. We don't have a sign anymore since we moved, but it was pretty much the same response regardless.
  15. My first name is my mom's middle name, and my middle name is the name of my dad's favorite aunt. I was originally going to be named something way different, but my dad chose my mom's middle name instead.
  16. It's called "trolling". People do it simply to work up a reaction because they have nothing better to do with their time. It happens a lot on websites that don't moderate their comments very well.
  17. I've had it for years, but never quite understood that it was claustrophobia until later in life. When I was younger, and still to this day, I cry my eyes out on the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland at the part where they shove everyone into that one room. It freaks me out. I also don't like elevators, or any tight space really. I haven't had to do an MRI for a while so I don't recall if those bother me. I've never considered getting it treated as I just do what I can to avoid being put in those situations.
  18. We used to visit the library a lot, but since we moved the one we have is very lacking in content, and it's incredibly hard to find anything with their book search website. It's disheartening, I love the library.
  19. Maybe that wasn't the correct way to say it, but it sounds to me like you're trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. That you're making him do a song that he doesn't want to do. " He needs to learn to work through uncomfortable feelings" This to mean sounds like you're trying to force him to do it.
  20. If he doesn't feel comfortable doing it then you shouldn't force him to. No means no after all. I'm not offended by the song, I adore Hozier, but I would never force my son or daughter to do something they feel that strongly against.
  21. Something that's really popular in our house is BBQ chicken made on the stove top with either potatoes or rice. We make this http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/one-skillet-bbq-chicken-potato-dinner-55501.aspx, and we use this for the sauce (yes homemade sauce!) http://www.simplyscratch.com/2011/09/homemade-barbecue-sauce-part-1.html
  22. I know how your daughter feels. I came out to my mother first as bisexual. My father only found out through anger at him constantly using slurs as insults against others. As for helping your daughter, the key factor here is definitely to respect that she doesn't want her father to know. Especially if he's how you mentioned he is. You may be against the website (I'm not sure) but tumblr is a wonderful place for acceptance. Yes there are some bad eggs on there, but here's there's one called bi-privilege that helped me out a lot when I first branched onto the website. I've always lived around people that weren't accepting, so to find people online was much easier. The tumblr I mentioned has a glossary of terms that can help her out, as well as resources of hotlines, finding your identity, etc. There's also some resources on it for the parent themselves. I came out to my parents when I was/am 23, but I dealt with this feeling much into my teen years before I made the plunge. If you need more advice/links/help/etc please message me any time if you feel open to do so.
  23. I've never heard of anything like that outside of something like green for St Patrick's Day. But I wouldn't care for it too much as some colors are just not flattering on me.
  24. I haven't seen it here (we haven't been here through the summer plus we don't really have young neighbors) but in Arizona a lot of the backyards were just rocks and cement. The front yards were usually where you'd find the grass, so yeah it was pretty normal when we lived there. I saw nothing wrong with it.
  25. It's never really bothered me. We used to live on Name. St. and said name was my dad's name so he'd be like "Yeah I'm NAME on NAME.St" it was pretty funny, actually. Nope, never bothered me. We did live on a street that was really hard to spell but other than that, names don't matter.
