I talked to mom on the phone. She is still having pain, but I think they are finally giving her some stronger meds for that. I don't know if all this pain is from the colitis though. It seems strange. She says every movement is terrible. She may be moved to the rehab tomorrow. I hope the doctor at the facility will order some more testing while she is there. Especially the colonoscopy so they can help her with the preparation. I will go tomorrow and take her some more clothes and visit.

Good Morning! Coffee has been and is being consumed. Dd17 has went back to school this morning. Ds22 is still off work. I think he is still off until Monday, but he will probably go in sometime this weekend. Dh is back to work today. Little dd has fallen asleep on the couch after having breakfast, and little ds8 is having breakfast now. I spoke to my dad on the phone. He is doing well; still going to church. :hurray: He is complaining of some arthritis in his knees, but other than that, seems healthy. Thank goodness. Happy Loafing Day!I Edit: little ds8 is not 21. Stupid autocorrect thingy!

I'm finally home. Finally. My right eyelid keeps twitching. It happened before we went on vacation. Then while on vacation, it stopped. Now it has started again. It is stress, isn't it? I knew I should've stayed in Nashville. Or Birmingham. Or Florida. Thanks for the huge and good wishes. :wub:

I'm still at the hospital. But we have a plan. She has colitis, an infection and inflammation of her large intestine. They are admitting her and going to starting her on IV antibiotics when they get her upstairs. Then we will get her into rehab for some therapy, and that will set up for home health care. This is the plan for now, at least. Jean, I hope you are feeling better and got some rest. Soft sugar cookies, chocolate and warm, soft hugs for everyone!

:grouphug: Jean. I hope you feel better soon. I'm at the ER with mom again. I tried to do a direct admit through her doctor with the ER visit on the 4th, but it didn't work. So we are going this route, and if this don't work we are trying for an admission to a nursing/rehabilitation center for pain management and therapy. She will be closer to the hospital, as well, so they can do tests and what not to find out the cause of her pain. They are doing another CAT scan and blood work now. It is going to be a long day.

Good morning! Coffee! Mom is wanting to be admitted to the hospital because the pain in her side is not any better. Pain medication does not provide any relief. So I have put a call into the doctor, but we may have to go back to the ER again. My body is still on central time. Have a fabulous day everyone!

:grouphug: to all with allergies I have been pretty fortunate with my children. They aren't allergic to anything but poison ivy. They have a bad reaction though, usually requiring steroids. We are in Kentucky now. Back to the grind tomorrow. Mom called and said my aunt is in the hospital due to irregular heartbeat and will be kept overnight for observation. Mom isn't feeling any better either due to the pain in her side. So more things to do.

Both of my older children had scratched corneas, both from a fork and being foolish if I remember correctly. It was very painful for a day or two, and we had to do eye drops. No major damage. We are back on the road again. I didn't buy much at the shopping center. Everything was very expensive, even the clearance. I guess I wasn't in the shopping mood. I used to love to shop but not anymore. I really have to talk myself into it.

You are with me....all of ITT. We are shopping at the cool springs galleria in Franklin, TN. Well, we will be in about 30 minutes. I don't shop very often, but I had been saving my money to shop in Florida. However, most of the stores closed due to Irma. So I'm excited to shop here.

Krissi,I love older houses, but I think the newer house will be better. The kitchen sounds wonderful, and newer ac, heating and such would be a plus. If the older house is cheaper and you have time to update, then I would say the older one. The younger ones would get the downstairs bedroom. Because that's just the way it is. Then when the olders move/go to college they move upstairs. Problem solved. :D

We left Florida yesterday afternoon. Everything was shut down. We stayed in Birmingham, Alabama last night, and maybe going to do some shopping in Franklin, TN before heading home today. I love ITT! :wub:

No. We are still here. Some wind and rain today. They expect it will be over this evening/tonight. We are supposed to leave tomorrow morning. Parasailing was canceled on us and most of the stores and malls too. :(

We are in the far western part of the panhandle. We leave Tuesday. :( Traffic may be a problem. We are scheduled for parasailing today at 11:30. Dd17 decided she wanted to go with me and ds22.
