  1. I'm not an EO enthusiast, but I do have quite a few in my collection now and I use them almost exclusively to make my house smell good (diffusing). I get headaches from most synthetic scents, so no more candles, plug-ins, scented lotions, perfumes, etc. for me. So here's my question...I recently got some rollerballs and I'm wondering if anyone has a use for these? I'm really thinking maybe a perfume-y use? I'd love to wear a 'scent' again. Here's what I'd like though 1)I don't want it to be medicinal or woodsy 2) I don't like ylang-ylang or anything with it. Basically, I want to smell like I'm wearing perfume, not weird. 😂 So, what are your rollerball uses? And, what are your favorite perfume-y blends? Thanks!
  2. Not a recipe, but chili freezes really well and doesn't taste pre-frozen. ETA: My 'recipe' is just to follow the directions on the back of the chili kit called 2 Alarm Chili. It comes in a small box in the seasoning aisle. I omit the red pepper and I add a can of kidney beans.
  3. Frustration, worry Events: frequent moves, extended family drama
  4. What's the name of the ones you have? No chance here of making my own...I'm even worried about them being too long of having to do ANY kind of cutting/altering!
  5. LOL We have this going on too...what's the deal with that?!!
  6. We have blinds in the windows, so I was hoping to find some curtains that definitely help darken the room, but not blackout. I don't like dark rooms and really prefer just darker if someone is sleeping late. I was thinking the Ritva look nice. Are these the ones any of you have? They look kind of textured. I don't like smooth and shiny. Of course, I want white which will naturally be less darkening than darker colors if I just get 'normal' (not darkening/lined). But I'm hoping if they're thick enough I won't need a lined curtain, especially since I have blinds that block a little light.
  7. Has anyone tried Ikea curtains? I want cheap, room darkening, and white (or possibly light gray). They have a few styles that look like they could work, other than being way too long. What about sheets? I have a duvet cover and LOVE it. It's the kind of cotton that's a little bit crisp, and cool. I don't like silky soft. I'm wondering if their sheets are like the duvet covers?? Thanks! Oh, and this would be an online purchase. The nearest ikea is 4 hours one way, so I won't be able to see/feel any of this in store.
  8. I'd love to see some really big, gorgeous waterfalls. Any really beautiful, grand, snow capped mountains. I'd like to stand in lots of snow, as I've only been in it up to my ankles/lower legs. Sledding would be nice too. Lighthouses Lots of Mountains that are the absolute perfect fall shades and colors. Glaciers. Whales. There are just so many beautiful things to see in this world, isn't there?!!
  9. We like this chicken and dumplings recipe. It's not exactly soup, but still comfort food and sort of soup-y. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/240587/easy-slow-cooker-chicken-and-dumplings/?lnkid=usspnt
  10. My favorites are: Baked egg cups: Spray muffin tin. In each cup, place a slice of two of ham (lining the sides and bottom)Add a sprinkle of cheese (not much, but you can omit), crack an egg on top. Bake at 400 for 12-15 minutes, or longer depending on how you like your yolk. Hard boiled egg wraps: Take tortilla of choice and slice a hard boiled egg on it. Top with sliced/chopped tomatoes, lettuce and/or spinach mix, Italian dressing. Roll and eat. (This is a variation of something I ate in Italy years ago. It was so yummy and simple. They put it on a hefty piece of bread/roll thing though. I improvised with a tortilla.) :)
  11. Tervis Entertaining Collection. I just bought these and love the ridges on them as compared to the regular tervis glasses. I love that they don't sweat.
  12. I always read about making a big batch of veg soup. Do you all just throw veggies in some broth? Or is there an actual recipe you're using? Maybe even a 'base' recipe of sorts? Please share!
  13. Hmmm...so many choices! I think I'll start with vinegar since I have it, buy an additional pair of shoes, and get the spray for his feet, or maybe the crystal thing. Does the deodorant crystal leave a residue? He's quite picky about lotions, socks, etc. Trying to decide what to put on his feet. 🤔
  14. Ok, I'm getting the soap and shoe spray from Amazon to try. Do you know anywhere local to buy the foot spray? Does CVS/Walgreens/etc carry it? Thanks!
  15. Thank you! These are great suggestions. I'll be looking into them for sure. I haven't treated him for athlete's foot. He doesn't complain of itching, or that his feet are uncomfortable, so I assumed it's just from sweaty feet. (?) He wears his shoes ALL day. And he's quite active. I think I definitely need to get him another pair like some of you have suggested, and let them air out while adding an alcohol or other spray to them. Or maybe the cedar pouches? He probably isn't actually scrubbing his feet at night, but just letting shower water run over them. I'll ask him about it. Should I get a special antimicrobial soap? Nothing we have on hand is like that. I've never thought to actually spray his feet with anything. I'll check on that, too, but he's very picky about how things feel on his skin. I might get some to try anyway.
  16. Ok, hive...give me your most awesome advice on little boys and foot odor! For feet and shoes, please! What really helps? Anything?!! I sure hope so...😆 Thanks! ETA details: he always wears nikes, with socks. Only shoes he wears. One pair. He does put on clean socks daily.
  17. I've only ever found one pair of ballet-type flats that actually stay on my foot, and feel good. They're cheap, too (about $30). :) They are at Payless and the brand is dexflex comfort. They're the ones that look kind of curled up on each end when you're not wearing them. Very flexible, comfy.
  18. I wouldn't even call that a fail! I'd call that a 'we tried something new and didn't like it'. Really, don't feel stupid. You cooked your family dinner, and didn't care for it. Oh well, no biggie. 😊
  19. I like Harney & Sons green coconut or the blueberry. I like it iced, with just a touch of sweetener. But I agree with others, if it's to wind down at night, go caffeine-free for sure! Maybe an herbal that's not chamomile?? Not sure of any suggestions on that because I like CS Sleepytime, which is chamomile.
  20. Last year my K'er asked if we were EVER going to stop talking about Egyptians. I think we were only about 2 weeks into it. 😂
  21. We got American Paper Optics glasses from our local Lowe's. $1.98 each.
  22. We learned it all chicken-themed, in addition to the above, also Guess when? Chicken skin Guess how? Chicken brow 😆
  23. I'm at 97 percent totality, and just went this week to Lowe's in hopes of getting some that I felt good about. Sure enough, they were from an approved company, and Lowe's had tons of them! And only $1.98 each. Woo-hoo! I was so glad to not have to stress about getting knock-offs from Amazon.
  24. Cousin's BBQ in FtW...there are 2 different locations.
