  1. I would call the psych and let them know about the crisis. 3 weeks is not suitable for someone who is not currently stable. I, too, would require meds to stay in my home. My hubby misused his meds so I required him to be off of them to stay in my home. I will not walk on eggshells and I will not pretend 24/7 for my children. He has to help himself before I can help. Same situation here. You can assist him to get the help but if he is unwilling, its not fair that he drag you down. You have other people to care for and his toll .... how long can you carry on? (Hugs). I know this is an impossible situation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I think you were asked to wave because so many people are embarrassed to stand. I personally prefer someone to stand so I can see their face so I can thank them later. I am glad you were bold enough to stand and it speaks loads about how proud you are to serve others. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Wait I think that was county...for my city median by household is $28,807. I am encouraging my children to move from here when it is time for them to go to college and find a job. Unless you are in the oil business and oil is doing well....you have no chance to get put from under poverty. Cost of living is 79.4. Not as high as other places but I have lived places that had more money making opportunity and less costs. Gal of milk is 3.94 and gas is 2.17/gal. Car ins isnt bad and my elec bill is $350mo and water is $100. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. $41,310 per household but per worker is $25,747 with an average of 42hrs/wk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I do not know what blobbing is, but I love map tracing. I find a map to trace the country/continent/state, allow the child to trace and color then find a nore detailed map so they can add details..terrain, cities, drawings of significant happenings in the area. I pull facts from different places (books, internet, friends), then find fun facts and teach them that way.
  6. Same as Tuesday but hopefully I'll actually get something done.
  7. We are on spring break this week so no school! Woohoo!! So other than the typical house stuffs, I will be taking the kids up to church to pack up and move our canned goods and clothes donations over to our new food pantry/clothes closet building. It opens in 2 weeks, so we've got to get it done. That means going through to sort, season and size 4 rooms of clothes and one room of "household items"and pack up what wont fit in the new area. Food delivery arrives tomorrow, so need to make sure freezer and fridge are ready. Print posters and handouts for bldg and flyers for announcement of opening. Then we will begin cleaning out our detached garage. Of course not all of this will be done today, but it begins today.
  8. Are these classes that could be done online? I take all my classes online, or have thus far, and am able to carry a full load because I can work on them as I desire rather than when it is class time.
  9. My "disease" is a bit different, but I am bipolar. When I am having a bad day, we go easy or tsle a vacation day.
  10. It looks like you posted a while ago but since I live in Arkansas, I'll fill you in. Homeschool atmosphere is good, still dome close minded mentalities but I think you get that everywhere. We have intent to homeschool forms that are due at the beginning of ever year. The first year a child is homeschooled the form must be turned into (hardcopy) the superintendents office. You do not need to await the supers signature. After that you can file online with the education alliance in Little Rock. We test yearly (3rd-9th grades) and typically it is with the IOWA basic exam. A location is available within the area and you must preregister, but the alliance will inform you when to do so. Testing is free unless you chose to do the testing at home, then you buy a test and administer at home and have it graded and sent off to the alliance, this is to ensure you have tested as compliance with state law. No one keeps the test scores...NO ONE! Pretty homeschool friendly here really! Homeschool students are now able to compete in sports with the public schools. In my little town the schools decided that kids that are homeschooled can practice and play sports with the public schools without attending any other classes. Not sure thst the students can travel with the team, insurance purposes, but they may have passed that as well. Good luck!!
  11. Sorry it posted twice. Also wanted to mention...we dont eat out, well maybe once a year.
  12. If school runs us late then I cook while they are finishing up their lessons. I dont really care for the crock pot and prefer hands on meals. I dont have enough freezer space to prep for a week let alone a month. I shop for a month at a time and it take about 90 mins. I preplan a monthly menu and while I dont always stick to it, its just usually a rearranging of meals. Most of my meals are 30 mins pan to plate although there are some that oven for longer but never take more than 20 to prep for the oven. Even homemade lasagna is 20 min prep although 45 min oven time. I'll be posting my menu plan soon on my blog. Here are some dinner ideas...many of these are modified to be gluten free. Grilled cheese and tomato soup Chili Frito pie Chili dogs Lasagna Spaghetti Meatball hoagie Chef salad Nachos Enchiladas Tacos Burritos Chinese food Meatloaf SOS Lunches are usually tuna, chicken, egg salad, pb&j, fish, leftovers Snacks: cheese, veggies, fruit, boiled eggs, meat roll ups.
