  1. I just prayed for you, Happi. I am so sorry for your loss.
  2. She was being annoying. It's not her affection for cold weather, but the sense of superiority. I used to be a *bit* like that about winter weather, but I'm reformed. And older. And feeling the cold more. Ahem.
  3. You are the most wonderful and amazing poster. THANK YOU!!!!!!! I am so, so, so happy to see this. During the last 41 hours (thanks to weather delays and diversions) I have been in five states (three airports, two airplanes, two trains, six ubers, and one rental car in a pear tree). That is why I have not been online. I am so grateful that you took the time to look, photograph, and post this! My family is going to be over the moon when I tell them. Thank you, thank you, thank you. That's a great idea! I'm going to photograph all of our "important" recipes! Thanks to everyone who looked! It's heartwarming that you gave of your own time in this busy season. I just want to hug you all.
  4. I just prayed for you again, Happi. You will be on my mind today.
  5. Christian joy doesn't mean "Hallmark" happiness. It is a deeper feeling stemming from our relationship with God, from accepting His love, and his sacrifice. The fallen world is hitting you hard right now. We weren't made to live in this fallen world, and it's painful! You are not alone. Hugs.
  6. The first one is close! Thank facebook for me😉 I told DH that strangers on the internet are trying to dig up this recipe, and he seemed a little embarrassed? Motivated? Something? I think there's a *chance* he might try to get into the boxes tomorrow.
  7. This is also very close, thank you so much! Also close, thank you for finding it! I hadn't thought of that. We have lots of thrift stores, but I think it would be unlikely. I'm in Colorado and SL cookbooks aren't a big thing here. It's a great idea though, and if I'm in a thrift shop I will definitely check! Sorry about your basement, what a drag! I will check Google 📚, great idea. Monkey is trying facebook for me, we can't have it due to DH's job. *I'm on an iPad attempting multiquote, there may be many typos*
  8. Oops, I missed your question! What I remember: Marshmallows melted on the stove in liquid (possibly sweetened, condensed milk) Peppermint extract Food coloring It goes in the freezer. It really s delightful, light and fluffy, and very pretty!
  9. This is the closest, I think. I know ours goes into the freezer, but the ingredients look close! Thank you for looking! If facebook fails, I will try this one.
  10. I was also temporarily flummoxed . What kind of costume is that? LOL
  11. I've had my turn at naming and will happily accept whatever names my future grandchildren are given. I will keep my opinion to myself unless asked! No pressure.
  12. Happi, I just prayed for you and your family. My heart is breaking for you.
  13. That is not it, but thank you so much for looking! Monkey's library no longer has the books (how sweet of her to look!). I'm going to try to contact Southern Living directly. If that doesn't work, Monkey will try through facebook. If that doesn't work, the Great Mousse Hunt of 2016 will end!
  14. Savory Spice is a local company that has now grown to sixteen states. I adore them! https://www.savoryspiceshop.com
  15. We're fortunate to have a large number of parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents, etc. None of them want "stuff," but they enjoy receiving nonetheless. This year we are giving them all spices.
  16. So true! My problem is that I really like family names, and I hope my children will use family names too. I don't want to name the dog something that might have been a contender for a grandchild's name.
  17. You have talked me into it! I'll pm you if no one shows up with the marshmallow mousse by bedtime. You are a gem.
  18. I'm so sorry about your step-monster, what a cruel woman. Hugs for little girl you and hugs for today you.
  19. I did check the SL website, but did not find it. Seaside, thanks for linking, I may have to consider alternatives, but I'm not ready for pudding yet!
  20. I cannot believe that I didn't think of that! Alas, we just have a few scattered 2000s volumes. You are too sweet; I couldn't ask you to make a trip to your library.
  21. Thank you for looking, Sparkly. Yes, I saw that one. Mine definitely doesn't have pudding. Ordinarily I wouldn't be so picky, but it's the whole Christmas tradition thing. Ultimately, we may have to use a different s year!
