We have only bought one curriculum so far for my 4 yo Ds. Sonlight- a previous poster mentioned that they loved the idea of it and that was me also. My Ds hated it- he learned that when mommy says sit on the bean bag and listen he better listen. That is it. He would have me read to him all day long but he didn't like those stories in the least. Thankfully we were able to take advantage of their generous return policy. Now I am gun shy to spend any real money on a kindergarten curriculum. We may become unschoolers.

Pour vinegar, water and milk into separate water bowls. Use baking soda, salt and flour to mix in each one and observe the reaction. Hypothesize what will happen. After they realize the reaction baking soda and vinegar have you can pour a few ounces of vinegar In a water bottle. Funnel a tablespoon or so of baking soda into a balloon. Being careful not to spill the baking soda into the vinegar yet fit the opening of the balloon over the top of the bottle. Hold the balloon up and put the baking soda in and watch it blow up the balloon.

We love Sneaky Snacky Squirrel. He loves Busy, Busy Airport and Rush Hour Jr. I don't know what is considered unheard of either. He plays Hi Ho Cherry-O, Jake and the Neverland Pirates board game, Find It tube thing where you look for stuff, and other stuff I can't think of right now. We love games.

I ordered - the idea of simple craft kits brought me out if lurking :)
