  3. Dumb question, waht does this topic means?? I am not sure.
  4. So many great books to read, no enough time to read them. I have added this book in my list and hopefully read soon :)
  5. Sorry for this silly question, but why would she need extra money???
  6. Actually I should have been more clearer. He is good with English...but the problem is with home lang1 which he is introduced from day1. He gets confused to use the right grammar and adds an ing for our lang word...Atleast now it is getting better to use complete word without ing...when he was around 3 to 4 yrs old...almost all words had an ing at the end. I have started to read books in home lang and watch movies/listen songs in home lang (satrted recently) Hoping this would help him. And he is going to India for a short vacation during holidays and I hope his langage gets better as he can't talk in Eng with his relatives. Thier school dos have ESL, I would talk to them. Thansk for your reply Beishan and OhElizabeth.
  7. I had emailed my son's Dr and asked to refer for Speech-Language pathologist. But she tells they do have only for English and Spanish. Any idea whom to contact (outside my health insurance) for lang1 issues?? Thanks for all your help.
  8. As I mentioned, it is the problem with me too....I just can't see someone into their eyes, I have been observing myself from few years and I think I dont remember I did it even as a kid. Whereas I see my DD most of the time looking into someone's eyes while talking. I think I also need to take an evalution done...
  9. This is one reason, I am scared as when I was a kid, I excelled instudies in my elementary and by the time I came to middel and high school. It was getting bad. I defintiely dont want my kids to suffer like me. When my kids get thier reports from their teacher, I always pray let it be the same throughout thier student life as I know how each passing year changed me. As suggested maybe I will talk to a NP and start working on thsi better than late. Thank you.
  10. SandyKC : Thank you, I am looking for SLP in our health insurance. OneStepAtATime : Thank you, I have got the book "Mislabeled child" which you had suggested in other thread. But I hope I can read more which his not happening. Thanks for the details about Neuro-psyciatrist.
  11. We are non Catholic (Hindus) and our kids go to Chirstian school (not sure if Catholic and Chirstians are same, sorry about this) We just want them to be better and good humans in life which we think any religion tries to teach, maybe in different terms and logics. We do talk about our culture at home and they are learning about Bible stories from school.
  12. I just loved this topic...though my kids aren't teens (few more years to go) I will ask them and get back. Can't wait to go home and ask them.
  13. Hearty Congrats for your DS. I kno you are a proud mom. May god bless him with good success all his life. Congrats to you too :hurray:
