  1. I have been looking at different budge forms and was surprised to see the % suggested verses what we actually spend. I am curious what others spend.
  2. This is where we are too. We are planning to CLEP a few non-essential elective classes. He is also going to attend the CC for comp and calc while CLEPing a few electives. That's the plan anyways. Things may change.
  3. This is what I was going to ask too. As far as R&S, are you doing it together? We are going another route this year, but I was considering AG jr or my dyslexic son. We also used Winston and he enjoyed that.
  4. The fact that MOH isn't finished is a biggie to me as we will be in year 3 this fall. I don't want to finish year 3 and be stuck. We are using Biblioplan right now and year 3 isn't finished either.I really do love SOTW. We used it when my older kids were younger. I just want Bible and Church history too, without doing it myself LOL
  5. Anyone up to sharing their mal plan ideas for Jan? I need to work on mine soon, I shop this Thursday.
  6. Their produce prices are usually better than what I can get locally and it's organic. I also get oats, rice, wheat, nuts, coconut oil, spices and a few other assorted things.
  7. I would love to do history reading 2 days a week with a third day for maps/activities and extra reading. I want something that has a MP3 or audio. I want something from a Christian POV. I am leaning towards MOH mainly for the Christian POV, but I like that SOTW is only 2 days and MOH is 3 days. If you chose one of these two options, could you please share why you chose the one you did? Thanks!
  8. We are trying to eat paleo too and one thing that helps with the budget is stir fry. I buy large bags of frozen stir fry veggies, and stretch the meat. We are satisfied and it's not too expensive. Salad is expensive for us in the winter so we don't do a lot of those, but soups and broths are pretty cheap if you make them from scratch. And soup is very filling. Eggs are cheap so we eat a lot of those too.
  9. My upcoming 11th grade wants to CLEP some of his college courses. The plan is to CLEP some electives and non-degree related courses, if he is able. My question is, if he does this during high school, would I give him a credit on his high school diploma for any course he CLEPed? For instance, say he took and passed the US History CLEP test, do I give him 1 high school credit for US History?
  10. Good to see you too! Merry Christmas!
  11. Thank you! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
  12. I read the boards almost daily, I just don 't post as much.
  13. I don't have it. Yet. Hmm I would figure out a way to smuggle it in LOL
  14. I have 11 so I'd either have to leave one behind or sneak one in  Bible Concordance Hymnbook English Handbook Book of US Government Original Documents History Encyclopedia Science Encyclopedia Norton Anthology of World Literature Norton Anthology of American Literature Maximum Math Basic College Math
  15. Check out this site to get started. http://www.whole9life.com/category/whole-30/ They have forums with menu and recipe ideas.
  16. I bet it is good, but yeah I'd like to avoid the pudding too.
  17. I like this idea. We buy raw milk so I bet this would make it so creamy!
  18. I'm either using Bedell with added rabbit trails as they happen or MOH and Science in the Beginning. I might use those and still use Bedell. All I know is that I am looking to simplify next year!
