My dil is being admitted to the hospital tonight for an induction in the morning. I hate that she's being induced, but her blood pressure is staying high so here we are. I would appreciate your prayers and well-wishes for tomorrow. I can't wait to meet Chloe Autumn. :001_smile:

Happy Birthday, Audrey!! I will turn 49 in a few months, and my energy levels are not what they were a few years ago. I used to stay up all night to tackle a few big projects every once in a while. I certainly can't do that anymore. I would feel it for a week. I am finding I have to pace myself more.

I kissed both my parents on the lips, even as an adult. Some of my kids are more affectionate than others. My oldest kisses me on the cheek or forehead, my next two still kiss me on the lips, and the youngest three are cheek kissers. I don't think there is anything weird about kissing your parents/kids on the lips.

I pronounce the "t" in all of those, except often. I was taught that it is silent in that particular word. That was in the late 60's, and I think it is okay either way now.

We usually eat at 7:30 on week nights. Everyone comes in about then from dance, gym, rowing with dad (nightly pick-up person).

Agreeing with Faithe and Jennifer, I think you should go. He is frightened and didn't handle it well, but he needs you. I would just call and tell him I was coming. I think it will give you an opportunity to get to know his girlfriend, too.

Just agreeing with everyone else. We are the "bad parents" today, I'm sure, for missing our son's rowing team's wine tasting and silent auction tonight. We sent in a donation instead. It seems to be that way with all of our kids' activities these days. All the moms are so busy trying to one-up one another. I just try to stay out of their way. :001_smile:

Our four sons names below, with first and middle names all mixed up. Four boys are great, by the way. :001_smile: Maxwell Benjamin Tyler Burton Cameron Andrew Jonathan Reid My grandson is Jacob Charles. If I had another boy, I would name him Henry, and call him Hank. My oldest son and his wife are expecting a baby girl any day. If she had been a boy, she would have been called Oliver.

Those are the only two brands my kids will eat.

My son is also neglecting me a bit. I sent him a text yesterday, and told him to call me or I was showing up there. :001_smile: He is, in his defense, very busy. Maybe your son is, too? He called me when he got the above text. I let him know that I expected a call at least every few days. He said he was sorry, and he could do that. They are at an age where they are a bit self-absorbed. I try not to take it personally. Maybe your son is like mine, and just needs to be reminded that you need to hear from him?

I updated my iPhone and iPad today. I checked out my Cozi app after you posted this, and it is fine.
