    So true - just wait til the teen years when all his friends find out you're the mom that "cooks." My younger kids took to hiding food. :001_smile: Sometimes on the weekend I have a house full of teenagers, and I feel like all I do is cook.

    Not important or relevant to how I educate my dc. After 18 years at this, I know what I want to teach them.

    We have had one for 16 years (not the same one!). The first one we had did not have a net, but the one we have now does have the net. It has gotten the most use of anything we have ever bought our kids. Even my grown kids still go jump on the trampoline. :001_smile: ETA: In all those years, we have never had an injury.

    We are just over the border in NC. You will get used to our Southern ways. Once you do, you will not want to live anywhere else! :001_smile: if you need to practice talking with a native, I'll give you my phone number.

    I'm in NC and did not have to show ID. I think a photo ID should be required.

    I agree. I had to get a pm from Nakia to tell me to change my siggy. Three of my kids ages were wrong. :001_smile: I hate changing their ages - they are all about to be grown up.

    I voted early at our town hall, but if I had voted today at my regular polling location, I would have gone to a school. Public schools are out here today.

    Happy Anniversary, Jennifer!! My oldest son has all his siblings over (except the one who lives out of town) for a Guy Fawkes party tonight. :001_smile: Some nerds never grow out of it.

    This is my dh and I, except the other way around. My oldest son also is initially very calm and rational during a crises, so until he left home, my first response would be to yell his name. :001_smile:

    My girls are Olivia Rose and Francesca Grace. What about Francesca Rose? Of all my kids, she gets the most compliments on her name. I have only met 2 other people with her name. I love Oliver or Henry for a boy.

    We still have some leaves here in the mountains of Western NC, but a large amount fell this past week. We are supposed to get snow and heavy winds the next couple of days, so I'm guessing we won't have anymore after this coming week.

    We live in the mountains of Western NC. It is incredibly beautiful, we get four seasons, summers are not too hot (some would disagree, but I'm from Florida), and just enough winter to feel like you've had one. I love, love it here. Come live near me, Paula. :001_smile:
