    Let him write stories about things and topics he enjoys. I started a "Stories When I was A Little Boy" that got my girls interested in writing.

    6-8 hours depending on the day. Mondays were usually difficult so we cut them short. Use a lot of grace in deciding how long to do school each day.

    I agree with lots of the above. Be generous. I know lots of people gave us stuff when we were starting out and we couldn't have made it without gifts!
