Prayer Request: I am trying to find a school for my oldest to take his FIRST AP test. If you happen to read this, could you pray that God is able to open up some doors for us as I call around?

Year-round schooling is really great....until you have to actually school year-round!
-
I think it's best when everybody else is going BACK to school and there's no hit for year-rounders to take. Because we've already taken it! and end-of-trad-school is totally the worst time! Are you full-steam year-round? We're ending up taking it light for a bit for my mental health, which absolutely demands a cleaner house, better organized & planned homeschool, and some exercise & play.
-
Yes, this particular summer we are have to "full-steam-it" because we still have a lot of material to cover to get us where we want to be in the fall. (We took a lot of vacations and field trips this school year which means we don't get as much "vacation" this summer.) It *does* make it hard to prep for the school year when you are already schooling, and that is what I didn't take into account all my time off this year. :)

My daughter has reached the stage where she plays one particular foo fighter song on repeat over and over again on the stereo in her room while she "hangs out".

Yes, I also loved that stage growing up. It made me smile when she started doing it. Another big sign of growing up I guess! I remember my mom yelling, "For goodness sake, I don't mind the music, but can you play some other songs?" I'm trying to refrain from doing that...even though the single song on repeat is a bit...um....repetitive. :)

Do all toddlers living in homeschool families consume massive quantities of school supplies? I am sittng here looking at all of the erasers my 1 year old has eaten off the end of pencils...and the pile of half eaten crayons and colored pencils.

How did I manage to make it this long without reading "ATree Grows in Broklyn?" What a great book!
