That makes sense... But it was a gum line filling.... Nothing on top of the tooth. Drat!

So I finally braved the dentist, and got my first filling! Yahoo, go me. It wasn't bad at all. The dentist and her assistant were amazingly coordinated... I was so impressed. But now, my tooth/jaw hurts! I got the filling on Monday afternoon, and it started to hurt probably on Wednesday, and it still hurts! There's just a general sore feeling in my tooth/jaw, and it hurts a little to bite down on the tooth. It was a filling on the gum line. I'm bummed b/c the cavity never hurt, but now that it's fixed, it's hurting. I'm hoping this is in the realm of normal... I don't want to go back to the dentist! Can someone reassure me? My DH ALWAYS asks me to cut his hair the day of (never before) an important event. I feel your pain!!

I would let the other mom pay, but also make it clear that your son would be just as happy to hang at their house and play video games. Perhaps her son really loves rock climbing and wants to do the activity with a friend.

My DH exaggerates like this when he's frustrated. It makes me angry. "Well, I guess I'll NEVER share my opinion again!" Things like that.

I bought this soft cone on Amazon. My cat could slip out of it. I bought a cheap collar at the grocery store, and put a couple stitches around the collar and into the cone. She couldn't slip out of the collar, and since the cone was sewed to it, she couldn't get out of that either. 🙂

Thank you so much, this means a lot! She seems fine at the moment... I called the shelter and said I can't take a dog right now. If she's still there when I know more about the cat's situation, then maybe. I'm sad but not devastated. Dogs get adopted quickly around here. She is young and cute, so I know she'll find a good home.

Welp, I filled out the application and it's approved! I think they called my vet and made sure I'm a responsible pet owner. And now... Maggie the cat is having urinary issues again so we were at the vet again. They said her kidney numbers are too bad to give her anti-inflammatories so we got an antibiotic shot and sent on our way. UGH! This is horrible timing. I'm not sure if I should go meet the dog or not.

Oh my gosh. That is awful. I can't imagine being in the ER for 18 hours! I hope you both can rest now that you know what the problem is.

I love this story! I would love to see a picture of this wonderful pup. I saw her today! I didn't have an appointment so I couldn't really meet her. She's not big at all. There must be some smaller breed in her ancestry. She was the only dog in the place that wasn't barking. Making an appointment ... Hope she's ok with cats!
