  1. Does anyone homeschool other people's kids? And if you live in New York, how do you(or the parents) report to the school district? Thanks...
  2. Who wouldn't want one?!?! They are awesome!! I pad 2 or 3 either way!!!!
  3. Two ideas...Spanish for Children by Classical Academic Press or... if your library is like mine, maybe they have Mango language learning. We can hop on the computer right from home with our library card and use it for free and they offer tons of choices of languages. You can also buy it if your library doesn't offer it.
  4. I really loved Leading Little ones to God as a nice Bible study for little ones. Easy to use and is really easy for younger ones to understand.
  5. Well, coming from a protestant point of view, I just want to say that all the name calling from both sides is appalling and not God-glorifying at all. We are all Christians and though we have different doctrines, we SHOULD be united by common threads of believe such as forgiveness through Jesus. I've known some really devout Catholics(such as my mom) and some really devout Protestants. Also, some on both sides who are whatever they are in name only. It really doesn't present a very good image to the unbelieving world.
  6. I LOVE IT!! Easy to use. Cute for the kiddos and they learn a lot. I really recommend it. I did have a little Latin background with teaching Prima Latina and Latina 1 and 2 to my older children a few years ago.:D
  7. I am also a loyal Sonlight user wanting to maybe switch to Veritas Omnibus. Would you recommend this? Who likes Sonlight over Omnibus for high school or the other way around? What are the potential cons for Veritas Omnibus?
  8. Thanks so much for all the input. Would it be too much to do Omnibus III with Sonlight's British Lit. for a senior?
  9. I am thinking of using it and am wondering how you liked it if you have used it? Is it very time consuming? Too above grade level? Or perfect? Would you start in 7th grade like it supposed to be used? Thanks for your honest appraisal!
  10. Here are my favorites... Sonlight! Song School Latin First Language Lessons for the Well Trained Mind Teaching Textbooks (The VERY best math curriculum I have found)
  11. Never had the opportunity to wait to tell him as he is more on top of my cycles than I am. He always knew!!
  12. We used to tell the kids pretty early on but after I had a miscarriage I wanted to wait until I was a little further on to make sure I was past the danger zone so to speak.
  13. I agree. It's cute but don't bother spending money on it. It's not needed.
  14. We use lens cleaner and a soft cloth. That usually helps unless the scratch is too deep.
  15. Don't waste money on an extra workbook. Having them do the problems in a spiral notebook works just great.
