  1. Does anyone have a Sonlight coupon code. I am looking for the one that is on the cover of the Sonlight catalogs at homeschool conventions. It is $40 off a $250 purchase. They are one time one use so if you have one and aren't planning on using could I please have it? There is no convention in my state to go to. Thank You
  2. I like the Book of Time by Sonlight. My son has been using his same book for the past 13 years. It is a really nice keepsake.
  3. I second Visualize World Geography. It works very well.
  4. I recommend going to a homeschool convention. Most states have conventions for the next few months. You can look at curriculum and ask questions. I had an idea of what I wanted to use for Kindergarten but then I went to my local convention and was amazed by all the different choices out there. I was able to spend time looking at curriculum and ask a lot of questions (to the people in the booths and other homeschoolers at the convention). We wound up using Sonlight for Kindergarten.
  5. I am not talking about piecing together curriculum. I am wanting to make my own curriculum. I have taught in co op classes for years and have basically made my own curriculum's for those classes. Several history classes and a writing and literature class. I have all of my lesson plans for what I did. I am trying to figure out how to go about making my own curriculum (that I could sell). I have no idea how to figure out what is ok to put in and not put in a curriculum that I plan to sell. I have other curriculum's made by homeschoolers (that I bought) that tell you to read this book and that book and do an activity out of this book. I am trying to figure out how I would know what is ok to put into something I make and what is not. I am not sure where to start. Any advice? Any one on here that has made their own curriculum (to sell)?
  6. Does anyone know if you have to have a college degree to be a tutor for CC?
  7. In my opinion Core D would not be right for an 8 year old. And yes, the content. My son is 8 he will be 9 next month and I am currently use Core B. I have to edit some of Core B because I think it is more than an 8 year old should be hearing, I couldn't imagine doing Core D with him now. Just my opinion, do what is right for you family.
