My dd might be applying to Swiz universities as well, and I really don't think your scenario will actually happen... I'm sure they now a bit about US applications, and if you have the required AP exams, a high school diploma, I think you would be fine. A recommendation letter is something I would advice. I don't think you should worry, and if I were you I wouldn't apply to US universities to have a document that shows your dd would be allowed entry in us colleges, but that's just me.

DD wants to take a PA History class this September, and now she's deciding whether she wants to take US history or European history. She will probably be taking both exams because she wants to major in History, but we thought two PA classes might be too much. Thoughts?

I was wondering how these classes are formatted. Is it an online course? Is most of the information off the internet? Or are books available as well? The reason I'm asking is because my dd doesn't want an online course, she wants to learn out of books.

Thank you so much for all your help! I still find it difficult to decide what to do, but will see.. If it turns out my dd 'only' does AP in her senior, so be it :) One other option would be, if I wouldn't want to get it approved by collegeboard, is to call it honors with ap exam, right?

Hi! I thought I might be able to ask my question here, since this is about AP courses and exams. I think my dd will do AP Literature in her senior year, and because exams are in May, she wouldn't be able to add her AP scores to her admission since college admissions are in October. Has anyone else had this problem? Would it be 'dumb' to do an AP course in senior year? Would it be better to do it in junior year? And can someone describe to me how a syllabus looks like? Does a syllabus just have the names of books you use in that course or does it have more?

Likely a private school, and she enjoys history and art. She isn't a very mathy/sciency person. Oh, and will just taking the AP exam instead of also taking an AP class. She is a very independent person and isn't too fond of classes
