  1. If we complete the majority of the labs included in the Apologia Biology curriculum, will that be counted as "lab" credit?
  2. Does anyone know if virtual labs count as lab credit for high school biology?
  3. We use TT and the lesson and the problems take about 30 minutes each. Then we use Math software games like Math Detective or Spider Island for 30 minutes. More than an hour of math would make my dd's brain explode!
  4. We use math software games to supplement our TT Pre-Algebra program. Spider Island II is 7-8th grade and uses critial thinking. We found it at www.criticalthinking.com and downloaded it.
  5. We are starting CC Challenge A in the fall and I feel that the science and history are a little weak. I love the CC community but the entire first semester is just about animals and the second is about the human body. I want to add a science curriculum that has lab exercises and I also want to add a little more history than just the few books we will be reading and discussing. Anyone have any thoughts???
  6. We love TT. My dd12 hated math before TT. We have used 6th, 7th, and pre-algebra. Great for students that previously struggled with math. Teachers voice is pleasing and they always have a second opportunity if they get a question wrong. Often it was a careless mistake. Lessons always go back and review previous material as well.
  7. Wondering if it's worth doing ToG for an only child or if Sonlight would be better?
  8. We have been doing Classical Conversations for several years and feel that the CC challenge program isn't enough. The science and history are weak, in my mind, and I have plenty of time to dedicate to a better program. I am interested in TOG, SL, and MFW. I like that SL and MFW literature books comes with the program, but I like the flexibility of TOG. I just wonder how attainable all the books are for TOG. Any thoughts or suggestions for other curriculum? We really want to be able to get our history from real books.
