We work ahead all the time in preparation for vacations, extended absences, etc. NOTHING wrong with it! People should mind their own business, you aren't interfering with anyones ability to learn! keep doing what is working to build their self-esteem and most importantly keep doing what helps them learn!

Hi, curious if anyone has a preferred early math resource for K age children? Would love to hear any reviews or ideas, or any cirriculum you've put together on your own! Thanks in advance for replies : )

I was turned off by the cost of Larsen, but neighbor and I went dutch and share, and have been pleased with how easy it is to get into without any real set-up. I would suggest it if you can bite off on the price.

We've home-schooled all of our children, and our oldest (13) is having the biggest difficulties, mostly due to all the social cliques that form at school. She's made some good friends through church groups but is singing the blues of "home schooling" lately...definately harder than my two younger girls (age 7 and 5).

This is a high level of relational communication for the 3rd grade level. Many public schooled children would not write at this level in the 6th grade!
