  1. Hi! I'm also looking for that list created by runofthemill for story of the world volume two movies... Does anyone have it? Thank you ahead of time for your help. :)
  2. The answer to that would be: frizzy-haired, sleepy-eyed, and overwhelmed. That is how I did it.😄
  3. Thanks for the response! That one actually came to my email. Glad to know I'm not the problem. Or at least not all of it.
  4. Why have I been homeschooling for almost three years without this forum? Seriously! What was I thinking? Thank you for all the help! I can't wait to use these resources.
  5. Hi! I signed up a couple of years ago but could never figure out how to receive updates when someone responded in a thread. I don't receive emails. I have to search through to find my thread and see if there are any responses. I checked my settings and am not sure what the problem is. Any help?
  6. I checked my settings and I should receive an email when my post is replied to. However, I am not. I checked my junk folder as well but nothing is there. Am I overlooking something? Amanda
  7. Hi! My son is about to finish second grade and we JUST finished SOTW1 and have started SOTW2. We are going to Williamsburg, Va for a family vacation in late October and I would like to make sure my son can appreciate the opportunity to see such a historical place. I have not yet introduced American history and was not planning to approach it until we got a little closer to that time period in our slow journey through SOTW. Do I just start teaching American history alongside world history, even when the time lines don't match? Or do I take a break from world history and focus on American history, even though I will be jumping around on the timeline? Or is there a third, better option? Is there a way to give him a quick brief crash course to get just enough information to appreciate Williamsburg? Any particular curriculum? Personally, I wanted to avoid jumping around because that was one of the things that always confused me in public school. I welcome any suggestions. Thank you!
  8. Hi Everyone! I am finally getting setup in this forum now that we are halfway through the school year. Does school year even matter here? Who came up with these invisible lines that separate the days of learning from the days of lackadaisical leisure? Anyway. Here I am. A SAHM with a 5YO DS (am I getting these acronyms right?) with low-vision, albinism, and autism--my special little snowflake. We have been homeschooling for his kindergarten year and I plan to continue until I run out of gas. But so far my tank is full and I am enjoying the ride! I am looking forward to getting to know this awesome group of people. Thanks for letting me join your club. :) Amanda
