I have heard a lot about lego education but when I look at what to get my ds 5 soon to be 6 I don't know what to get or where to look. He has several sets like you buy at Walmart that he loves but I want something more meaningful. I have heard about simple machines, where would I look for this at and would this be a good fit for a soon to be 6 year old? Sorry I'm just not sure where to look. Hopefully this is making sense.

I have finally decided to do MFW 1st we have it and it looks great but I'm trying to decide if we will add anything! We will be adding Singapore and Miquon! I will take any suggestions it looks like we have everything we need but I'm always afraid I will forget something!

I think delightful learning did this if not it a great blog! I know she has used both.

I love the books for BFIAR and we read them often but I like SL P 3/4 better I couldn't really get into BFIAR but it seems so great for others I felt it required a lot of planning. I will say the books seem better suited for 2-4 year olds. Sl P 3/4 seem better for 4/5 year olds but that depends on the child and I see that you have older children so I'm sure she is used to sitting in on those readings. I have a 3 just turned 4 year old that loves books from SL and BFIAR. I have not used HOD!

I was wondering this as well maybe just use FLL1 and WWE 1 in the summer after first and that would be ok? I already have FLL 1 and WWE 1 and ETC 123 so would there really be any need for these things? Thanks

The American Heritage First Dictionary by Houghton Mifflin. We got it at the library they handed out free books and he picked this one, he carries it around all the time! Sorry it took me so long to post.

My ds 3 almost 4 also loves the mike mulligan and more book, its a great book he loves little house, mike mulligan and his steam shovel and katy I don't know if your dd would like it or not.

My 2 ds have loved blue berries for sal, Jesse Bear, Gods oak tree, chicka chicka boom boom, swimmy. There are more this is not really a set I guess, but I will say that almost all the books from Before five in a row have been loved! I will be back my 1 year old is setting with me and making it really hard to type!

I was thinking FLL1 1st grade and WWE 2nd or 3rd. But I was unsure about that but now I feel a little better with this. My ds is reading but not that great yet but he is trying so hard! He also likes to write he copies words all the time from his childs dictionary I don't have him do that he just enjoys doing this I don't know why! But I think WWE might be a little much right now but we will see a lot changes in several mths and then I will make my final decision. Thank you all for the advice.

I was wondering about the FLL 1 if it would even be worth doing after 1st MFW 1st, I already have FLL 1 and WWE1 so this makes me feel better. I also have core A books from Sonlight because I have them from a friend I got a while back. We have been doing OPGTR so this is why I wonder if its even worth getting MFW 1 but it looks so cute and sweet for 1st! I was wondering about the book basket in 1st what kind of books does it have? My ds seems to like the longer books which I find shocking it doesn't mind reading books without pics which I also find shocking! Thanks and I really enjoy reading what everyone is doing.

Would you mind telling what the difference is between La Clase Divertida and Song School Spanish, I have looked at both but don't know which if either would be better. My ds seems to enjoy learning spanish. We have boca beth but I'm not wild about it. Thanks
