  2. Hello, my 9-year daughter loves looking at tiny objects under our cheap microscope. I would like to get a better microscope and some kind of Biology or Life Sciences kit that has lesson plans that include experiments using the microscope. 4. Hello, this year we thought to try Introduction to Algebra by The Art of Problem Solving for my 8th grade daughter. The previous years we used Singapore Math. The Intro to Algebra comes with a text book and a workbook but no test book. Can anyone who is familiar with Art of Problem Solving's Introduction to Algebra suggest how I should do testing? 8. Hello, I need help finding the title and the author of a book I read a few years ago. I came across this book while reading "The Well-Trained Mind" but have searched and can't this book. The book was about two wooden toy dolls. Both are asking each other the question, "who made them". One doll believes that he evolved into a doll. The other doll believed that he was made by a creator. It was a wonderful book and I made the mistake of not writing down the title or author. If anyone recalls of this book please let me know. Thank you very much, joe
  9. Hi, I was wondering if anyone would be able to comment on the curriculum from Logos Press? They offer curriculum for grades 2 - 12. Thank you very much, joe
  10. Hello, I am now reading the book, "The Well-Trained Mind" by Susan Wise Bauer and would like help finding a complete homeschool curriculum. I want something that best mirrors what is taught in the book. I have looked at Memoria Press but not sure they follow the same pattern of study as the book emphasizes. For example, on page 46 of the book they show this pattern of study for science. I like Classical Conversations, they appear to follow the pattern of study as in the book but I need to find out if you must have a tutor or be involved with their online community. I get so busy that I think I would miss most of the online events. My daughter is 6 and we have used Rod and Staff which I really like because it is simple. If anyone has some suggestions or comments, please let me know. Thanks, joe
