  1. Yeah, it was nice being able to see responses at a glance. This board requires an awful lot of clicking.
  2. I like it. It's full and flexible, the books are good and the projects are relevant. (I'm, however, in the camp which believes one should tell their children about the problems of the world and allow them to help fix those problems, and we're also open about s3x. So the Plight of the Children package was not an issue for us.)
  3. How about Journeys of the Imagination, basically a reading schedule for good preschool books, from WP? There's also I'm Ready to Learn, which includes all subjects and is for preschoolers, but it still might be a lot to gather. The IG sample is here.
  4. It is pretty secular, maybe a humanistic bent if any at all. One story, I recall, tells about the Hopi rebellion against the Catholics and is clearly cheering for the Hopi. Each story stands alone from the next, is illustrated with peaceful and engaging color sketches, and takes a page or three and fifteen to twenty minutes to read. It is an excellent supplement. I wish she had been more careful about including all of the most commonly told stories, so that we could use it as a spine.
  5. You've just about described my son when we started -- a little basic grammar, reading very well. It's easy to learn alongside your kid, and easy to learn, in general, with Lively Latin. She shouldn't have any issues with it.
  6. In my case, it means I'm anxious to change something but need to be reminded of the need to meet my current goals before moving on to others. I do find time to plan over the summer, but generally I have to gather the materials I am going to plan in spring so that they all arrived in time to schedule and coordinate them.
  7. It is definitely meaty enough for a 5th & 7th grader, with weekly reports, independent internet research, and several books the publisher states are for adults or high schoolers.
  8. Do you know if they will keep them there, as archives we can search?
