  1. She is not planning on a science major. They will be offering Biology, so we will be taking another route then. Either Chemistry or Physics.
  2. Yes, I forgot to mention that she took the second half of General Science and the first half of Physical Science in Eighth. So, the first half would be a repeat, but a bit more challenging.
  3. First of all, I am so excited that my dd is coming back home home. She wanted to go to high school so I supported her, and now she wants to come back home. Woo Hoo!!!! OK, here is my question, this year she is taking biology in ps. Our co-op is going to have an Apologia Physical Science class next year. Would you let your child take this class in 10th grade if extra assignments and reports are added to make it more challenging? The following are Florida State Standards. I am not sure if I would be able to use the Physical Science class as a credit?? Three credits in science, two of which must have a laboratory component. Beginning with students entering grade 9 in the 2011-2012 school year, one of the three credits in science must be Biology I or a series of courses equivalent to Biology I as approved by the State Board of Education. Beginning with students entering grade 9 in the 2011-2012 school year, the end-of-course assessment requirements under s. 1008.22(3)©2.a.(II) must be met in order for a student to earn the required credit in Biology I. Beginning with students entering grade 9 in the 2013-2014 school year, one of the three credits must be Biology I or a series of courses equivalent to Biology I as approved by the State Board of Education, one credit must be chemistry or physics or a series of courses equivalent to chemistry or physics as approved by the State Board of Education, and one credit must be an equally rigorous course, as determined by the State Board of Education
  4. My dd and I love, love, love this show!!! It is brilliant!
  5. My husband is 100% ok with me staying at home. He would have loved for me to be able to do it throughout our whole marriage, but I had to work full time for while my older ones were little. I worked at night and he worked during the day. I LOVE being home now. His mother worked part time while he was growing up.
  6. I saw a recipe for these either today or yesterday. I can't remember if it was here or on Facebook. I tried searching it here and couldn't find it. I knew I should have printed it out right away. :tongue_smilie:
  7. I am afraid that I will have these dreams for ever, since my dh will NEVER move away from FL. I forgot to mention that I am from New Hampshire, so gators were fictional to me until I moved here.
  8. Oh my!!! I think that I would have had a heart attack!! That is awful that your momma didn't believe you. Have you talked to her about it since?
  9. I have a reoccurring dream that I am in a river, jumping from rock to rock trying to get away from the alligators that are trying to eat me. Yes, I have a serious fear of the water and gators here in FL. My husband loves to fish and kayak and has lived here all of his life. I will not go with him. He thinks I am a WIMP!!!! =(
  10. I am so sorry that you are sad! Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,†declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. I pray that you find it to be a greater change than you ever expected!!:001_smile:
  11. I am so sorry!! :grouphug: Praying for your family now!
  12. If I homeschool my little one all the way through, I will be 55. I am still not sure what I will do. I would really love to just travel with my husband. We have always dreamed of buying an RV and traveling. However, there is still a part of me that would like to go back to school. Maybe for nursing, not sure.
