  1. :bigear: I'll be watching this thread... I'll have a 4th grader and 8th grader next year and was just talking with my DH about how to streamline our day and combine more subjects.
  2. I just watched the from SWB regarding FLL/WWE and she mentioned that WWE was not intended as a stand alone writing curriculum. I actually thought it was... am I missing the boat here? I was looking at using WWE with my little and WWS with my older next year but now I'm wondering if I should just go with IEW instead. Advice? Thoughts? Suggestions?
  3. I voted other.... I despise showers. :D And I bath whenever it strikes my fancy. Most often at night, but if we have somewhere special to be during the day I'll hop in in the morning too.
  4. That sounds like a lot of clindamycin... (I'm an RN)... how many mg are you scheduled to take each day? It's rare that Rx are filled wrong but it occassionally happens. It's a fairly strong antibiotic... perhaps double check with your pharmacy that you're taking an appropriate dose. 12 capsules each day sounds like a lot.
  5. I had the same issue with my DD. I actually did insist that she wear one (in the name of modesty). The cami's didn't seem to provide enough coverage but I found some lightly lined (not padded) sports bras at Target.
  6. IMHO, whether or not it is fat deposits or breast buds doesn't really matter so much. If your DD has a slight "bump" noticeable underneath her tee-shirt then I would have her wear an extra layer of clothing underneath her shirt for modesty. Camisoles or sports bras work great for most girls but didn't seem to provide the "coverage" that I wanted for my DD. She is tall and thin and when she started to develop (at age 10) her breast development seemed, I dunno, high chested maybe? I found some pretty basic, lightly lined, sports bras at Target that seemed to do the trick.
  7. Same here... I don't necessarily spend the same amount of money on each of them but I do try to match up the number of gifts. My oldest DD is an avid reader and would rather have a book any day of the week (cheaper) and my son is a lego fanatic so we usually try to contribute to the obsession over the holidays (definitely more expensive).
  8. A question for the ages: Do you place silverware in your diswasher with the handles up or down?:D
  9. Here you go: Standardized Tests can be bought throught the BJU website. The site also lists the requirements to become a test administrator for each of the different standardized tests, as well as descriptions of each one. They are also very helpful on the phone and can help you choose which tests to administer depending on what type of knowledge you are trying to evaluate. HTH
  10. I still have the Christmas letter I wrote last year sitting on my desk. All 150 copies. :D
  11. My huz is in the AF and our potential duty assignments have never included anything like I & I... but I did find this: I & I Duty Opinions on I & I Duty (Read: Not mine.):D I'm sure you've seen both of these sites, but thought I'd share just in case.
  12. To the OP, thanks for sharing this.:001_smile: I spent an hour cruising through the different articles instead of washing the dinner dishes. :D
  13. So, hey, Pretty In Pink... which assignment did you decide on? (California, right??) :bigear:
  14. Your guess is as good as mine. No, it's not. My guesses are the best.:D
  15. :iagree: For what it's worth, I was 19... we just celebrated our 18th anniversary!!
  16. One of the physicians I work for recommends rolling frozen golf balls on the bottom of the feet several times a day. All of our patients say that it helps the pain and discomfort better than medication. HTH!!
  17. I watch (and love) the show too. And I am not ashamed.:D
  18. We have a little yorkie named Mr Beasley. We're thinking about getting him a little brother or sister... next name? Buttermilk. Sorry, no help here. Edmund, maybe?
