  1. After Thanksgiving and no earlier. I can't take looking at the stuff that long. :tongue_smilie:
  2. I won't be home much. So, I guess it won't be that noticeable to me. I'm looking forward to the new forums! I just hope it all goes smoothly and we don't lose the great threads on here. There is SO much wonderful information that has been shared by many seasoned and knowledgeable people.
  3. I worried about my height when making this decision too. It has turned out to be a great solution for our current space, and I have no problems reaching into the dryer. HTH!
  4. :grouphug: So scary! I'm glad she's ok. She should definitely take them up on the counseling.
  5. It was only about a 20 minute wait for me this morning. Not bad at all.
  6. It's leftover night. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, bison meatballs with rice, and salads were all on the menu.
  7. :grouphug: My hope is that you will never need to use it, but there is great security in having one nearby.
  8. Yes, I think you're right. It's also nice to spruce up things while enjoying hot tea, warm meals, and sweaters. There's just something so cozy about it.
  9. This is great! I'm excited to get started tomorrow. I don't know why, but I always enjoy cleaning and organizing during this time of year. It makes me happy.....weird, I know.
  10. :grouphug: Perhaps, in time, she will look back and learn something from this.
  11. The Grotto grip is our favorite. The Claw, mentioned above, is also good. We just found it was a little cumbersome at times because it takes longer to put the fingers into it before writing.
  12. I think it's great that he wants to donate the money to education. However, I do worry how the money will be used.....
  13. That's a great deal! I bought the set not long ago and paid a little more for it. That's okay, though. The set is worth it. :)
  14. :iagree: :grouphug: for your friend and her children.
  15. Wow, I guess it's their favorite holiday!
  16. :iagree: We started doing this years ago and my kids now love listening to audio books in the car. :D We also will sometimes stop at key points in the story to check visualization skills. I'll walk them step by step through key questions and as they answer, I'll draw a picture based on their answers.
  17. Handwriting - GDI Phonics - ETC for review Spelling - LOE Writing - WWE1 Grammar - FLL 1 Reading - Read alouds, audio books, and 30 minutes of free reading daily
  18. Ugh! I can't deal with Christmas until Thanksgiving is officially over. All the stores around here started hocking their wares before Halloween. Drives me crazy!! And a fake tree in August? Yeah, I wonder if they sold any.:glare:
  19. Same thing I always do: drink a hot cup of coffee or tea and read before the kids get up. So, I don't even look at it as having an extra hour because it does nothing to change my day. I just wish they would leave the time alone. Choose one and stop the flip-flopping! :tongue_smilie:
