  1. Hm. I never thought of it. He calls all his friends and relatives by name (there's quite a bit of both). He's two and a half.
  2. :iagree: I used this program with my oldest two. It's great! We don't do all of the writing though.
  3. Subscribe to RSS feeds of these two sites. http://www.inspiredreads.com/ http://ereadernewstoday.com/ They post alerts about free Kindle books daily. Also, you can search $0.00 on Amazon Kindle - tons of classic books.
  4. :grouphug: Do you have a dollar movie theater in town? Home Depot and Lowe's offer free Saturday workshops for the kids.
  5. Thank you so much! OK, here we go then. :D Mead Learn to Letter with Guidelines tablets. It has thick pages with indentations for letters, supposedly to guide the child writing. Cuisenaire Rods Alphabet Book, Problem Solving A to Z. Some pages has been written on, but still useable. Explode the Code. Teacher's Guide for Books 1 and 2 Worldly Wise A. A couple of pages have pencil writing. Phonics and Word Analysis A and B, by Continental Press. Brand new. I have no idea why I have these, don't remember buying. :tongue_smilie: More Mudpies to Magnets. Great condition. Saxon Math K Teacher's Edition and Meeting Book. The TA is in good condition - has a pen scribble on the first page, otherwise is great. The Meeting Book has some crayon scribbles, but may be still useable. Math Mammoth Grade 2 A and B. I printed both books at Kinko's (I think). They are soft cover, spiral bound and black and white. We have used some pages from 2A - they are missing. The 2B is complete. Free for a good home, just pay for shipping. :001_smile:
  6. It's OK if you haven't read the books. I was fuming the whole time watching because they changed so much. Really unnecessary. :glare:
  7. OK, I have a small stack of things, but how do you determine cost of shipping? For, let's say, Saxon spiral-bound teacher's manual?
  8. SOTW, HWOT and Sing Spell Read and Write (using with my middle child now).
  9. Yes. It's everywhere. :( We live across a high school and every day I have to pick up the trash on our front yard that wind blew from there. It's really quite disguising. Plastic soda bottles, various snack wrappers, cigarette butts. :glare:
  10. Oh, thank you so much! Exactly what I was looking for. :001_smile:
  11. Please help me understand what is so special about them and why they cost $15? I'm going back and forth on getting CLE math for my rising first grader, but money is tight. Can I just print my own?
  12. Great post and I really needed to hear this today.
  13. I'm so sorry. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
  14. When my oldest was a baby, I thought homeschooling was only for missionaries. :tongue_smilie: My husband was homeschooled for a few years when they were abroad. Then she grew older and we put her in a very nice Christian preschool. One day, I came to pick her up a little earlier and saw her reading aloud to her friends. I chatted with her sweet teacher and she told to think about homeschooling. At the same time, we were looking to buy a house and the "good districts" were waaaaay out of our price range. So, we talked, and talked, and read a lot of books about homeschooling and here we are. :D
