Can anyone recommend a curriculum for 8th grade history. I want to study early civilization/ancient times. I want the curriculum to include short answer questions/ reading comprehension questions. My son is pretty independent. He can do a lot on his own but I want to be involved and read with him. Stefanie

I'm trying to decide which curriculum to use for History (ancient times) for my 8th grader. I am considering doing MOH volume 1 or HIstory Odyssey and using the kingfisher Encyclopedia along with The Human Odyssey. Can you please tell me the pro's and con's to either. I do want his history to be enjoyable but I do expect him to work and have to regurgitate what he has learned. Which should I use???

I want to change my son's grammar. We have always used First Language lessons. This year completed level 4. I don't feel like my kids have had good retention and it is a little boring. I am considering changing to Hake or BJU English. I assume I would go to level 5 for both? What is the good and bad of BJU and Hake.
