  1. I did not know that could be done. Forgive me, I am ignorant in this area, but would like to learn. I am hoping to use my instant pot and use both almond and dairy milk.
  2. Links to starters would be awesome please! Thank you!
  3. I think you can take MasterClasses free via Hoopla (a library app). They also have Great Courses-free. You may want to check that out first.
  4. https://hubermanlab.com/toolkit-for-sleep/ This sleep protocol is fantastic. I highly recommend it.
  5. Absolutely enjoying State of Terror-Hillary Clinton and Louise Penny. Highly recommend for Louise Penny fans (of which I am one:)
  6. Get the checked luggage app that tracks your bags. Airlines misplace luggage often and it can be a nightmare to get it back and to have days without you luggage.
  7. https://www.waterdropfilter.com/products/waterdrop-reverse-osmosis-water-filtration-system This is what I have under my sink and it is a game changer.
  8. Yoga Nidra and NSDR are similar to napping in that the body is "shutting down." The difference is that you maintain awareness during YN and NSDR giving opportunity to become aware of physical and emotional tensions and intentionally releasing them for a deeper sense of peace and rest. Yoga Nidra is often practiced prior to sleep and can follow a meditation session.
  9. I highly encourage the practice of yoga nidra (yoga sleep) and/or NSDR (non-sleep deep rest). Tons of info online.
  10. I have a history of Crohn's and do not absorb nutrients well. I have found that straight vegetable (no fruit) juicing has helped with absorbing some vital nutrients.
  11. After I posted, I realized that my goal needs to be solo traveling. I have been contemplating this for awhile. I travel with my family, dh, or in groups for international adventure activities. I would like to solo travel for both culture and outdoor activity. I will keep it domestic since I am slated to do an international 2 week group bike trip in the fall of 2023. I like the idea of doing a bit of solo backpacking. I have done quite a bit of backpacking with dh and have all the equipment. I want to include some cultural days also-museums, restaurants, events. Thank you for jostling my thoughts into place!
  12. I am pondering the possibility of rocking my world with one pursuit in 2023 that in entirely outside my comfort zone. Not sure if I want it to be a one and done type of challenge/goal or ongoing for a period of time. I have engaged in quite a few of my bucket list goals and many of them are ongoing lifestyle goals, but they are on my bucket list because they are not to far outside of my comfort zone. At the moment I have a few ideas but would appreciate your ideas. -Ballroom dance classes-waltz, tango, cha-cha, fox-trot, rumba, and swing or salsa dance classes -Swimming in large bodies of water (I can swim comfortably in an indoor pool, but am very afraid of swimming in any other body of water) -Learning how to downhill ski -Toastmasters-learning to public speak -Academic pursuits -Art classes of any kind
  13. Start small with sugar substitutes and increase gradually as tolerated. I have found that many, including the natural healthier versions, create adverse digestive responses. Research indicates that I am not alone in this response.
  14. https://www.amazon.com/Goddesses-Never-Age-Prescription-Well-Being/dp/1401945953 Great read about perspective, attitude, and choices as we age.
  15. That sounds exactly like what I am looking for. Thank You!
  16. TV series are also good. My SIL suggested The Crown. What do you think?
  17. I would greatly appreciate suggestions of documentaries of inspiring brave women, past or present. Thank you.
  18. I use unbleached parchment paper. May be a healthier option. https://www.vitacost.com/if-you-care-parchment-baking-paper-70-sq-ft?ta=parchm&t=parchm
  19. It will be in the mid 70s and sunny next weekend. Practically unheard of this time of year near me. Booked a campsite for the weekend in the SC upstate foothills where the leaves will be at peak rust, red, and orange, with a bit of yellow-my absolute favorite-just past prime. We will be hiking all Saturday. I would like to prepare ahead as much as possible a nice birthday meal and dessert to cook over the fire. I have a cast iron pot that I can use as a dutch oven and a cast iron skillet. Considering a stew, steak, or shrimp boil with some type of a cobbler with whip cream. Honestly, I am open to any wonderful tried and true suggestions. Any suggestions? Thank you!

  22. I am on day 24 of my first Whole 30 and am amazed how my cravings and compulsions have disappeared. I am no longer daydreaming about when I will have those foods that left me feeling physically unwell. The domino effect is that I am giving way less to the temptations/lies of destructive physical and spiritual habits and developing some of Romans 5:3-5-perseverance, character, and hope. Amazing what some focused self discipline will bring about. Hoping to offer some encouragement in the struggles.
