  1. Welcome! We are still fairly new to homeschooling as well. I have three boys (hence the username) ages 7yo in Dec (1st gr), 4yo in two wks (pre-k), and turning 2yo in Dec (crazy toddler). Whereabouts are you located? Looking forward to getting to know you better.
  2. Yesterday afternoon on the way to my oldest's karate class, there was a foul smell outside the car. I asked JD what he thought it was. His reply~ "Car poop!" I asked why he thought that. He said that it was coming from the car in front of us. And it was. In our neighborhood there is someone who drives an older car (mid 60s/early 70s) with bad exhaust. They go for a drive around the same time we are on the way to karate. Almost every karate day, we seem to end up behind them.
  3. same side as always, if we switch, neither of us sleeps
  4. our bed is up against the wall DH likes the security of sleeping next to the wall
  5. Math today was start of a new unit. Addition and subtraction of 6s
  6. Love it! And of course your DD is adorable. Glad it all worked out.
  7. No advice as I could use a little help in that area also. But definitely wanted to say Congratulations! And I would love to see pics. Christmas Carol is one of my all time favorite stories.
  8. DH and I became a couple on Nov 1, 1999. Had wedding planned for Nov 1, 2003. Had DS#1 Dec 2002, made things legal and 'official' Aug 1, 2003. Continued with plans for Nov 1, 2003, wedding celebration. We celebrate both Aug and Nov amongst ourselves.. Some family only acknowledge one or the other now. In the beginning, both were celebrated with family and friends.
  9. I wish you were nearby. I have been trying for years to find something like what you described. Nothing ever pans out. Maybe one day I'll get the courage to try and 'start' something myself.
  10. On a 'good' day...where he breezes through what I intend to get done without any complaint and no distractions, we can be done in 1-1 1/2 hours. On a 'not so good' day....complaints, distractions, interruptions, you name it and it happens, it can take all day to get done what I'd like. Thankfully this has only happened twice so far since we started back.
  11. No, we do not have to pay for holds. I am not sure what I'd do if we had to.
  12. 100 items per card. so far we have not come close to that. in a couple of weeks my oldest will be getting his own card, which I will have possession of. until he is older.
  13. You can also try: www.mindsprinting.com This is what I am currently using with my oldest.
