  1. I think that view can be taken to unhealthy extremes. My grandma lived through the Depression (and the Dust Bowl), and she wouldn’t even throw away spoiled food—and I don’t mean questionable things like what’s in most Would You Eat This? threads. I remember her trying to make my cousin eat ketchup left over on her plate with a spoon until my aunt intervened. I understand why she had that view about wasting food, but I think it was harmful to her and her family. Not saying that’s what you do; your post just reminded me of her.
  2. Sometimes that's because people you follow are liking or retweeting older items. My timeline is still mostly reverse chronological even with that box checked, so I don't really even notice or find it a problem, and I don't miss tweets by the accounts I follow like I would if it were strictly chronological (like Twitter used to be). If I want to follow live tweeting of a particular event, I go to a hashtag-based feed. Read the Help info at Twitter for other things you can do to see what you want to see.
  3. Log in to your account and go to your Account settings page. Under Content, look for Timeline and uncheck the box next to Show me the best Tweets first. The default setting now is to show the "best tweets first" on your timeline; you have to manually opt out of it if you want tweets in reverse chronological order.

    Tunics

Zulily has lots of tunics of different styles, fabrics, etc. You might also try searching for long (or long tail) T-shirts, as those have a more basic style than tunics usually do.
  5. This thread reminds me I have some tea in a cool elephant tin that I tried a couple of times and haven't had any desire to drink again. I'm going to give it one more chance, but I suspect I'll be taking a ziplock full of tea bags to work. At least I got a cool tin out of the purchase. ETA: I just took it out to make a cup of tea, took a whiff, and NOPE! I don’t know which part of this blend is the problem, but I won’t drink it.
  6. DH has been on it for a month or two and really likes it. You control how you spend your daily allotment of points and can make adjustments as needed, and that works for him. If you know you need more fat or less fruit or whatever, then you can do that.
  7. I take them to the breakroom at work. If it’s something perishable, I just toss it.
  8. Are you possibly talking about the list that shows in your sidebar when you look at your own FB page? If so, only nine friends will appear there at any one time. I don’t know why everyone wouldn’t be showing up in your complete list of friends, but it doesn’t really matter because you’ll still be able to see their posts.
  9. When you go to the person’s page, it will tell you whether you’re friends and whether you’re following them. I honestly never use my friends list.
  10. This. You aren’t a hiring manager; it’s not your role as a reference to decide what jobs she should or shouldn’t get. You don’t know everything that the jobs she’s applying for will involve anyway. If there’s a job you think she would hate or be terrible at, you might gently ask her about it depending on how close you are, but even that may be overstepping because presumably she knows better than you what she’s willing to do or to learn.
  11. I did it years ago and don’t remember what I was. It didn’t seem as spot on as other inventories I’ve taken like the MBTI. I just took an online one and got 5w4. Seems like a good fit.
  12. I was just thinking earlier this week I need to get my SAD light out.
  13. I was just thinking today how glad I am not to be a community leader for our 4-H club anymore. I have time to volunteer for one-off activities and board leadership now, and I like that so much better than parent wrangling.
  14. The cast recording and mixtape are on Spotify.
  15. 1-2 travel mugs per day (The size varies, but I think the ones I usually use are 16 oz.)
  16. Maybe your local station re-aired an older story? This one sounds similar.
  17. Is excluding non-whites from being cast as King George racist?
  18. There’s a clue in the title. ;)
  19. I love the soundtrack and hope to see it someday, but I won’t pay the $$$ to see it now.
  20. Land-grant universities are affiliated with Extension and 4-H.
  21. It seems pretty funny for people on a communication platform funded by and advertising a commercial entity to be complaining about a different communication platform because it's hosted by a commercial entity.
  22. The leader has unequivocally said it’s a problem for her to remember to send separate communications to the OP. There’s no indication that she made any promises or that she acted in bad faith, so I don’t know why it even matters how we interpret what she originally said.
