I have a schedule thats sorta like Sagira's one. I split up the BFSU book and I am doing roughly 2 lessons a month. I figure this way I will split the lessons over 3 years or more. I also am working on nature studies with my elementary kids, so I count that as a science as well.

I truly hope that my son does the same thing in a few weeks. Be glad your DD is doing so well!

They do take 17-20 years or so to mature. It seems like a long long time! But thats the point. I would vote for a laptop. I prefer the laptop to the iPad for typing on things. Even with a keyboard, I cant imagine the iPad being better at note taking and word processing then a laptop is. I love the iPad for surfing online, checking email, watching videos, and the apps. I love my laptop if I actually want to write things down, or do any sort of real computing. I thought I could do my school planning on the iPad but I have found that I am much faster and more efficient on the laptop.

Meh. Its not really surprising. I wonder if she will convert to a different religion now.

DH has an iPad. We are not disappointed. I am currently saving my extra blow money for another one.

My father (living in poverty at an orphanage) actually is the recipient of these boxes in Thailand. He has said the children LOVE the boxes and they are well received. The boxes are a huge hit and the kids get so excited. Our family doesnt put together the boxes because we dont believe in the missionary stance with the organization, but they are well received in Thailand where they are needed.

I'll have a K and a 9th grader in the fall. Plus a 3yo and a baby.

I am currently working on the yard. I have a collection of tricycles, bikes, scooters, skateboards.... I am filling up the back of the van and making trips to the thrift store. I love decluttering. Though I should probably do it a LOT more often.

Ditto to everything. My family is disappointed that I never got that architect degree, but I am happy where I am. And I never even wanted kids!

I refuse to push 2 carts through the store, and no way am I volunteering to take kids to the store to push the extra cart. I go twice a week if necessary.

I tell prospective renters that only small pets are allowed with a $300 non-refundable pet deposit. I am picky though. Pets do pee on carpets, and once they start peeing they don't stop. It gets into the floor boards and it's really really hard to get that smell out. If it is YOUR house that you are renting and it's not a permanent rental I would NOT allow pets. No way.

Most nights my 14yo goes to bed between 9 and 10pm. Though he hasn't been getting up by 7am the last few days, so I am going to encourage him to get to sleep earlier. Some nights I am absolutely sleeping before he is. It doesn't bother me.

I bet its an Easter Egg chicken... Araucana or Ameraucana, or some mixed breed. My Easter Egg chicks looked similar for a little while. I dont think the comb is large at all. I would definitely like to see a pic when its full grown! I think its cute. :D

I once found our library book on my girlfriends bookshelf, six months after I had paid for it. Her girls are much older and I guess they hadnt looked at any of the picture books in a while..... $16 down the drain. I consider it a donation to the library. :tongue_smilie:
