      Mine know who Bill Murray is... but that's because he's Bill Murray. Oh, and Gilda. But not Chevy.

       

      I didn't really relegate the Beatles to school... we're calling it a musical field trip. The kids have heard most of the songs, but not in album order. We're on Magical Mystery Tour.

    It's been a field trippy week: mummies (second visit), swimming and exploring at Lewisville Regional Park, penny arcade this afternoon, tide pools at the coast tomorrow. I don't want summer to end.

      A rule? Is there a thread? I'll admit to being curious about logistics of handling various bodily functions at different points in history, across cultures and classes, even when reading things like the Little House books.

      Helicopter that had been circling since about 5am. There was a big fire not quite a mile away. It was a news helicopter, not an actual useful one, but gone now, so I can only suppose someone else got it first.

    OK, so I'm browsing through albums, filling in digital gaps. Three versions of Who's Next available! One is over 2-1/2 hours long, another an hour twenty. Serious, who needs that? Why? The original album was 45 minutes and perfect.

      They've shut down the Lewis and Clark ride! A new big roller coaster will take its place next year, somehow going OVER the go-karts, while the Looping Thunder will be retired and its space used for additional parking.

       

      Not Back to School Day is on their calendar for September 6. :D
