  1. I wouldn't do anything with my child as an act of rebellion. I do whatever is best for him. I wouldn't make decisions regarding his welfare based on an act against another person or authority. I would think my priorities were really, really messed up if I did.
  2. So when something is unjust, you just bend over and take it?
  3. I had my 7 year old at the actual death moment of my grandma. I think it's an important life lesson to be dealt with thoughtfully and proactively. I'd have done the same if he was 2, even.
  4. Why do you say that? It would be illegal for a company to label something as organic if it is not.
  5. Can you put on the bottle that it smells naturally nutty? I can't stand the smell of nuts. It literally makes me nauseous. I would want prior warning.
  6. You really must do that next time with a hidden camera. And then show us the video.
  7. No, we don't get more naive. We just get more and more shocked at how naive most of the world is.
  8. Seems like the blind leading the blind to me. Or, well, the young leading the young.
  9. Don't feel bad. I didn't get it until someone said it would itch!
  10. Bluehost. Cheap, professional, etc. Please don't do GoDaddy!
  11. Phew! I was worried for you. Perhaps your GP make a mistake and thought it was in the preventative category. Glad your neuro worked out something with you that is helping you. Quality of life is so important.
  12. My mom gets those. Just the visual symptoms and no headache.
  13. Yes. Mine did, too. If you want to cure your current migraine coming on but get another one tomorrow, then take Excedrin. Caffeine helps temporarily, but should not be used by people who get frequent migraines. Going off Excedrin was one of the things that made me functional today. The other biggy was going off birth control pills, which I was on for PCOS.
  14. Ha. My neurologist said to me, "Everyone who comes in here is afraid that they have a tumor. You don't have a tumor so don't be worried." So, apparently, your not alone.:tongue_smilie:
  15. Oh my word. Who prescribed you Imitrex as a daily preventative? That's not okay. I was on Imitrex injections, double the normal per month prescription. That was only 12 per month, IIRC. My doctor said, "I know you need more than that, but we don't if it's safe. I'm so sorry." This was during a 3 or 4 month stint of being bed ridden every day and finally having a migraine induced seizure. Even then, it was not okay to take every day. Perhaps the injections and pills have different rules. But you need a second opinion.
  16. Function? With a migraine? Is vomiting or laying in a dark room with tears running out from the corners of my eyes functioning? But, yes, they do vary in severity from moderate to severe. I don't function with moderate ones, though, because activity will send things over the edge to severe territory and then I'm stuck in misery for 3 days.
  17. The ones I know wouldn't. Also, the ones I know have better English than most people I know. And! And! They learned it in high school! Can you believe that? America is doing something wrong in it's high school foreign language education. My experience is that they are very, very nice. Of course, like any area, there are sure to be nice people and not so nice people.
  18. No, but it's extremely rare when I don't like someone. I can think of... 2? people in my whole life. If I don't like someone, you can guarantee it's warranted!
  19. I just looked it up and it looks awesome. I've never been to one, but I want to go to this one. So, I suppose, this is a tentative, spur of the moment yes from me. :)
  20. My son wants to work wherever I work. LOL You have to love 7 year olds. They're so sweet.
  21. I think a national curriculum is a terrible idea. One wrong curriculum choice and every child in the nation is crippled in that area. At least with every state choosing their own curriculum, there will be 50 fail safes. There will be many more minds going into choosing curriculum. If several states choose to go with a new curriculum that is horrible and several other states stick with the old time tested stuff, at least we are putting some functional people into the work force. A national curriculum makes it too easy to cripple everyone. BTW, Mexico has a national curriculum. It's a disaster.
