  1. Dyslexia runs in our family so getting her tested for that is one thing I want to do. It is a Catholic school.
  2. The sad thing is I'm just now being told how far she is behind. Total lack of communication with the school. Very frustrated now
  3. "Work on handwriting. Has she been doing manuscript or cursive?" She can do both. Penmanship isn't always neat but can be when she wants it to be, "Do you know what reading/phonics/spelling your daughter was doing at school?" No clue
  4. I have had her vision tested and she does wear glasses. At this point the cheaper the better. I just need to know where to look. I appreciate all of the feedback.
  5. She is behind in math and reading. The first grade level comes from her teacher at the school I am taking her out of. I live in Oklahoma. Where can I have her tested at for learning disabilities? I noticed several of you using the abbreviation DD, what does that stand for? I don't believe it is her fine motor skills because she can do needlepoint. In fact she is very much a hands on kinda kid. If it involves using her hands, being creative, or anything like that she does well with it
  6. My 3rd grader is behind and I have decided to pull her out of her private school and home school her to get her caught up. She is currently doing 1st grade level work. Any suggestions on what path I should take?
