  1. Thanks for the info. I had one ultrasound when I was still bleeding and the lining measured 1.4 cm. A second ultrasound after 5 weeks on the progesterone cream showed a lining of 6mm. I really hate having invasive procedures done if they're not absolutely necessary. Would you get a second opinion or is the hysteroscopy and D&C fairly standard?
  2. 3 years ago, after 5 weeks of heavy bleeding, I had a diagnosis of simple and complex hyperplasia without atypia. I was on Provera for 1.5 years which affected me terribly so I stopped and went the naturopathic route. All was fine until April when I started on a two month long heavy bleed. I went to an integrative MD who put me on progesterone cream which stopped the bleeding within 2 days. I've since had one pretty normal, though slightly heavy period. In the meantime, an appointment had been made with a gyno and he suggests I have a hysteroscopy and D&C to see what's going on. I'm nervous about any medical procedures and am wondering if this sounds necessary or safe to any of you who are medically versed in such procedures. I'm 51 with tons of stress in my life including a sick husband. Thanks.
  3. Go on youtube and search Bio-k against C-difficile. This product was covered on Canadian newscasts and in many newspapers a while back when there were outbreaks of this bug. It's a fantastic product.
  4. Does anyone have any experience with Shepherd's Purse for heavy bleeding. I've been on Provera and Prometrium and neither gave any relief from very prolonged heavy bleeding. After 2 months of bleeding I took 30 drops of this tincture in water 3 times and the bleeding has amazingly all but finished. My question for those in the know: Is this just a band-aid solution or can Shepherd's Purse actually regulate periods? I have seen a dr. who prescribes bioidentical hormones and she has given me a script for progesterone cream 75 mg twice a day. However, before I use the cream, I'm wondering if I should pursue the Shepherd's Purse instead since it seems to have worked so well so quickly. Advice from any experts would be most appreciated!!!
  5. Can anyone refer me to a good site that explains these three terms in a nice concise manner? I've found lots of definitions on the web but am looking for a standard, generally accepted definition of each (preferably more modern in nature as we're trying to relate to a book written in the last decade). Thanks.
  6. Thanks so very much for all the great advice. You ladies are such a wonderful source of wisdom and guidance. I really appreciate your input.
  7. I could really use some ideas for an essay on leadership that my homeschooled son needs to write. Due to string of family illnesses, I found that I was unable to continue homeschooling him myself after grade 10 and enrolled him in an accredited online school for gr.11 and 12. This turned out to be a lifesaver for me as my mother's illness demanded nearly all my time and subsequently I was laid up with female problems resulting from all the stress I had been under. He's done very well academically and has basically looked after his own education for the past two years. I should add that my husband has had a chronic (and deteriorating) illness for all of my son's life so I've had to be both mom and dad to my son for the past 17 years; my son has been a great help to all of us. Problem is he never got involved in any activities where you could say he assumed the role of leader. I know that I should involved in something but at the time I was just trying to keep my own head above water and was happy that he was getting his credits toward his diploma. that Any ideas as to how he can present himself in this essay (we're not in the U.S) and overcome the fact that he was held back from participating in a lot of outside activities due to family responsibilities and setbacks. He's a good, decent kid with a great head on his shoulders. I'm overwhelmed with looking after my mother and husband that I can't think too straight at the moment. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
  8. If the owner of a company invests personal funds into his company, where does that fit into the balance sheet. I know the cash will increase, but I don't know how it put it in the equity section. For example, If Greg Jones invests $2000 into his company, would to equity section of Balance Sheet, in report form for the month of April, look like this? EQUITY G. Jones, Capital at March 31 = $70000 Net Income (loss)= $60000 G. Jones Drawings= -$5000 G. Jones Investment= $2000 G. Jones Equity at April 31= $127000 Thanks.
  9. Would be grateful for advice regarding a really good quality progesterone cream. I would like one which is free of parabens and other unnecessary additives. I desperately want to get off my 5 mg daily dose of synthetic Provera(for heavy bleeding) because I feel horrible on it. Does anyone know what an equivalent dosage of progesterone cream would be? Thanks a lot!
  10. Thanks all! Angie, even though we haven't done greatest integer functions, I'm wondering how you figured out the (n-1) part to your formula. Is there some special way to figure this type of thing out?
  11. Dana, I REALLY am grateful for all the time you put into this. Unfortunately, I don't have the answer; its an online course (under the discrete function chapter) and the kids have not done the greatest integer function nor are they using modulus. Perhaps,it's just a bad question and the teacher should be queried about it. I had no problem with the equation for times when the passengers were a multiple of 60 but the other cases have me stumped completely. Thanks again!
  12. I really appreciate all your help but I'm still lost on this one. Can anyone simplify what I have to do. This has been driving me crazy all day.
