  1. We just stayed at the Wardman Park Marriott which is an EXTREMELY nice hotel and there is a Metro & a circulator bus stop right outside the hotel. We booked it through priceline and got it for $65/nt. There is a pool that I think is heated; but do plan accordingly as it is outside.

  2. My kibble (Nature's Variety) has it on the bag. My canned (Wellness) has it on the website.

Your vet should be able to give you advice regarding optimum calories per day. Then you can do the math to figure out how much to feed.

I never noticed calories on the package before I will have to check that out!

My vet recently closed due to the economy & I haven't found another yet. :crying:

  3. We are coming from the west side ;) (South Haven) and I'm not exactly sure the route in detail as I have really worked on that much yet as I figure Mr. Garmin will lead the way.. LOL Probably not the best plan and is something I should add to my "get ready to do list" LOL

We are going to the Great Awakening Tour with Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne :)

  4. Hello,

We leave for Washington DC this coming Saturday morning and are sooooooo excited!! I'm trying to plan any must see or do items. We will be traveling from Michigan so if you live any where between here and there or have traveled this route can you give recommendations. Maybe even if you have been to the DC area you could give some for there to. We will be there for one week and have a pretty open schedule for the most part. In the mornings we will be doing some evanglism and have service at night but our days are free to wander the city :)

    Blessings!!

Does anyone have recommendations of places in the area or the surrounding area as long as it's CLOSE by. Also we would like to spend the days visiting the town as our kids have never been could you give tips & suggestions. (they are 14 & 11)

    Thank you & Be blessed!

  8. Last week our 13yods was at camp and this week our 12yodd is at camp. Life around here has been so much more peaceful with only one kid at home. These kids are total opposites and one or the other will either do something or say something that will irritate the other. In the past I've talked to them separately or together about being kind to the other even before they get out of bed and by the time they are at the breakfast table "something" is said or done that starts the bickering.

I need a plan for when dd comes back. Taking away privileges like video games or youth activities hasn't really worked and they are too old for the naughty chair. Any suggestions?

:grouphug: I feel your pain as I could have wrote that myself! We pick up our dd today from camp. As much as I can't wait for her to come home I to have to say it's been mighty peaceful. That's so terrible to say & weighs heavy on my heart everytime it's thought about.

I want to thank the OP that mentioned Siblings w/o Rivarly. I think I am going to buy it and see if there is anything I can apply to our lives today and hope that it's not to late.

  9. I would highly recommend the Kay Arthur Precept studies. I've done many Bible studies, but I love that this study stems from the Bible, the well-thought out questions and reading schedule and the Holy Spirit. It would be great if you could meet together once a week to share what the Lord taught each of you through the study. It would require about 30 - 45 minutes a day, which is more than some spend on quiet time. But, then, 14- and 17-yo are generally ready for the meat.

I tend not to like the 10-minute quiet times, but my kids have used the Word of Life materials when our church had it for youth group.

    HTH,

    Lisa

I have been eyeing the Kay Arthur studies for a week not only for my daughter but also for myself. :D Is there any that you can recommend? Also, do you think the Inductive Study Bible is to much for a young teen?
