  1. Yes, please! I would love a list of resources as well.
  2. FYI - There's a 30% discount on Hands on Equations through HSBC. Expires 4/1/13.
  3. If you decide to go with Visual Link, they do have a discount code, HOMESCHOOL30, that will get you 30% off their products, not sure if that applies to the monthly subscription, though. Before I bought mine, I signed up for the free trial and they started sending me special offers by email almost immediately that were for prices lower than their sale price. They also have a great satisfaction guarantee, but again, not sure if that applies to the monthly subscription. We were happy with VL!
  4. I just came across Getting Started with Spanish on Amazon last night. I think I might have to grab a copy to take a look at that! Thanks for the heads up on Mango! I just checked an my library has it fro free as well. I am so excited to check it out!
  5. Thanks, hsbeth and LanaTron! Both of your posts are helpful and have given me some things to think about. :001_smile: If anyone else has a different approach, I'd still love to hear it while I continue to formulate our plan. Thanks again!
  6. Are you just using the cities to come up with a grade or is there more to it? TIA! :bigear:
  7. I am baking a cake for a friend's daughter's birthday. She has requested a yellow cake and I think I want to use a different recipe than then most recent one I have used. :bigear: TIA!
  8. who pays to fix it? We have had our two oldest boys (12 and 15) break a couple things recently that will need to be fixed or replaced (a bedroom door and glass in a built-in cabinet door). One was out of anger/frustration and the other out of foolishness/goofing off. We are trying to decide who will pay for the repairs/replacement. Just curious how others handle situations like this... :bigear:
  9. Yes, but I also have older kids and only have done so when the oldest (15) or second oldest (12) is in the van. I never did so before 12 or 13, though.
  10. So true! It is so sad to see so many young people unable to calculate without the use of said tools. I was at the store a few days ago, and because of the way that I paid for my transaction, the cash register didn't tell the cashier how much change she needed to give me. She actually asked me how much change I needed back from the dollar I handed her when my cash payment was $.79. :glare:
  11. I just received an email a little while ago with a coupon code for 40% off of sale prices and it's good until Thursday (8/4) 11:59 p.m. The code is 40SALE. Includes all products and bundles. Hope that helps someone!
  12. So glad to see these posts. I keep reading threads about graphing calculators and I don't remember using them, even in my calc classes. I was beginning to think I was losing my mind. :)
  13. Thank you! I just ordered this yesterday as well. This will give me some great ideas as I plan out our year. :)
