    I did a recipe purge. I had 3 binders full of recipes that i had been collecting over the years. I went through them all, tossed every one that I had not used and put only the ones I use in one binder. Whew!! That felt good.

    I read this book “Nothing to Envy: Ordinary Lives in North Korea” by Barbara Demick (https://www.amazon.com/Nothing-Envy-Ordinary-Lives-North/dp/0385523912) several years back. It was really good and very eye opening. Seems to be on a similar vein to the book you just read.

    What Susan said. Churches are very difficult things. Some denominations have good structures in place to deal with this kind of things. We went to a Presbyterian church for 10 years and things got really bad with the pastor and some congregants, and while it got ugly and I don’t think the church ever really recovered, I felt like the support and actions taken by the denomination was appropriate and well done.

    Good Morning!!! COFFEE!!~D Saturday!! The storms have passed. AFSA this morning to get groceries and a birthday present for some girl in Baby’s class. The Birthday Party is this afternoon.

    Good Morning!! COFFEE!!~D Fri-yay!! School and work!! DS is bored out of his mind. I’m sure he wishes he could go back to work today, but his job does involve lifting, etc. and I’m not sure it would be a good idea. Otherwise, he has made a very quick recovery with little to no pain. Apparently his was an easy surgery since all the teeth had erupted already.

    Good Morning!! COFFEE!!~D Friday Eve!! School and work. We’re getting a storm in today. Temps are dropping 25 degrees and we’re getting some rain. Winter’s last hurrah, I guess. DS seems to be recovering well from his wisdom teeth removal. That’s all.

    I just finished "Where'd You Go, Bernadette?". I loved that book. I am so depressed that I finished it. Now I am starting "Silas Marner" because I have to read a classic and this was the shortest one I could find.

    We are back from the Oral Surgeon. DS is a loopy mess. But I got some ibuprofen into him. It had to be the liquid kind since he couldn't do a pill.

    Good Morning!!! COFFEE!!~D Humph Day!! School and work!! DS is getting his wisdom teeth out today. He’s pretty nervous about that.

    it was a lot of lemons, but barely half of what is still on the tree. I had never heard of a lemonade bar, either. Apparently it’s lemonade and then you have a whole bunch of the fruity Torani’s syrups you can add to it.

    Good Morning!!! COFFEE!!~D Tuesday!! Here I am, up at O’ Dark Thirty in the morning, as usual. Spring Break is over. I think we have about 10 more weeks till summer vacation. I need summer vacation right now.

    I juiced 7 quarts of lemon juice for DD1’s graduation party. They are having a lemonade bar. i have never heard of that. But I am glad I have some use for all my lemons. However, I am in a bit of a time crunch because the County is coming on Friday to spray our citrus trees and our grapes for bad bugs. Then I can’t use my lemons.

    I have families who use Write Shop and some who use IEW. If I were still homeschooling I would choose one of those. Back in the day IEW was pretty intense on the teacher, but they seem to have made it a lot more user friendly.

    Good Morning!!! COFFEE!!~D Monday!! Today is our last day of Easter Vacation. I need to get out and plant some seeds. Don’t really have any other plans for the day.

    My Easter Dinner wasn't great. Thanksgiving I have down to a science. Everything is planned down to the last detail. I just don't have my mind around Easter Dinner. And not having the ham kind of threw me. The pork loin didn't turn out well. The rub was too salty. I was just kind of disappointed in it all.

    I wasn't. Really. Well, not all of it. I never realized how inhospitable prehistoric Earth really was. Everything was out to get you.

    65. Honestly, it was pretty dumb. Nothing really objectionable. Lots of scary dinosaur scenes. DS chose it.

    Good Morning!!! COFFEE!!~D Happy Easter!! Church and then DH’s family are coming over for dinner. There will be a little more than 20 people. It should be a good time. It’s a bit chilly out, so we will be eating indoors. Typically we have Easter outdoors.
