  1. I didn't. I made turkey soup. It was easier. And that's the end of the turkey.
  2. Good Morning!!! COFFEE!!~D Humph Day!! School and work!! It’s another chilly one this morning. Wind machines are going. Busy day. Families to see. Things to do.
  3. Good Morning!!! COFFEE!!~D Tuesday!! Chilly morning. The wind machines are going in the orange groves. Sounds like a flock of helicopters. School and work. My puzzle is going well. My mil gave me a 1000 piece puzzle. It’s one they got for $1 at Longs Drug Store, which I think no longer exists. It’s a Thomas Kincaide. Not something I would buy for myself, because I’m not a fan of Thomas Kincaide, but I needed something, so I got it out. It’s hard, but I’ve been working on it a couple of days now and got the border done and have a good start going on the inside.
  4. Good Morning!!, COFFEE!!~D Monday!!!😩😩😩 School for some, work for others. Three more weeks and I am on Christmas vacation!! I have to bring both snack and dinner for the varsity soccer team tonight. I didn’t have to sign up for both on one day, but I did to get it over with. I made pumpkin muffins and trail mix for snack and baked ziti, bread and salad for dinner. Got the ziti and muffins done yesterday, so I just have to bake the ziti and then deliver it all.
  5. Good Morning!!! COFFEE!!~D Sunday!!! Church!! Sportsball!!
  6. We had tamales for dinner and watched "Good Luck Charlie: It's Christmas". What a great way to kick off the Holiday Season
  7. I remember reading the unabridged Grimm’s Fairy Tales. That was traumatizing. They certainly aren’t for modern children. But Disney just does that to everything. And Mary Poppins, was that Disney, too?? The musical?? The “real” Mary Poppins wasn’t all sweetness and light like Julie Andrew was.
  8. Boysenberries are kind of a California thing, I think because our climate isn’t suited for the more traditional berries.
  9. Yeah, I watched the last few minutes of that game. It was a visual cacophony. And a lopsided score. Watched the Texas/Texas Tech blood bath most of the evening. That was pretty sad.
  10. Good Morning!!! COFFEE!!~D Saturday!!! Stuff to do today!!
  11. Had a great day. Hosted 32 people. We had enough food, bit not a lot of leftover turkey. It was a good idea to do two turkeys instead of one big one. They turned out very moist and delicious. Just watching sportsball now. Got my second load in the dishwasher. Seattle's uniforms are hideous.
  12. Good Morning!! COFFEE!!~D Happy Thanksgiving, ITT!! You ladies are wonderful and I am so thankful for all of you. I hope you all have a blessed day. I am up semi-early. Got the crustless pumpkin pie in the oven. Turkey #2 will go in as soon as the pie comes out. We keep adding to the guest list. I hope I have enough pie. Dianthus, I may have to borrow one of yours. I know there will be other desserts, though.
  13. Pies are done. Cheddar scalloped onions are done. Since MIL moved to assisted living she can’t bring the yams, so I made that, too. Stock is strained and in jars and cooling. I think I am done for today. I am tired, but i feel good about what i accomplished.
  14. Watching reruns of "Home Improvement " I really love that show. Pies are done. Cheddar scalloped onions done. Cranberry sauce done. iTired
  15. One turkey roasted, carved, meat put away, carcass in the stock pot. I will do the second one tomorrow. One pie done, two in the oven. I will make the crustless for our gluten-free folks when these come out. Veggies for dressing sautéed, put in fridge. Getting ready to make cranberry sauce and cheddar-scalloped onions. I made bread yesterday. DH is home today, making sure we have enough chairs and playing taxi driver for the girls and their soccer practices and hair appointment.
  16. Turkey is done. Turned out great. Meat is off and in the fridge, the rest of it is in the stock pot.one pie is done, the other is in the oven.veggies for dressing is done
  17. Good Morning!!!! COFFEE!!~D Humph Day!! Busy busy!!! I’m roasting one of my turkeys today, carving it and making stock with the carcass (is there another word for that?? I hate that word it is just ghastly, but, I don’t know what else to call it), making the cranberry sauce, baking the pies, and sautéing the veggies for the dressing. Oh yeah, and making the cheddar-scalloped onions. We eat at 1:00 tomorrow, so i need to get most of the prep done today. DH is home from work today, so he will help.
