  1. We use: Science-sleepyhallow.com Social studies-story of the world Spelling- Bob Jones Spelling Math- Horizons (LOVE) Reading/phonics- Reading eggs & lots of reading Grammar: Bob Jones
  2. We do LA and Math 5 times a week. That is non negotiable for me. It may be m-f or sun-thurs or double up on some days, and skip some, etc. My kids also read for a minimum of an hour per day, usually on the weekends as well (their choice) History is 3 times a week and science is 2 times a week - what we shoot for, but I don't stress about those. I tried planning down to the minute and got ticked when my plans fell thru, so we just do what is next :) Works for us!
  3. It's so HARD! Thats why I cant for the life of me understand how some people fit in Latin, and a full science curriculum!!
  4. We took off yesterday for homeschool day at the zoo :) It was super fun!!!
  5. I dont know, honestly, my boys arent there yet. I thing once they are 8th grade, if they were sure about going, and the district was great, I would send them.
  6. My 6 year old reads just as much as his 9 year old brother.
  7. this is about us too. ds9: 30 min-Saxon 5/4, one lesson per day ds6: 15-20 min-horizons 1, two lessons per day :001_smile:
  8. let him use a white board, spelling tiles, "type" on a keyboard (not plugged in, just for practice), spellingcity, make words out of playdoh, sidewalk chalk, legos, etc.
  9. We got those too! Target dollar spot rocks.
  10. I.love.Mondays. It seems like we are all rested up and ready to tackle the week :) DS9 had a rough time with math today, but besides that, it was a productive day. We read our bible lesson in the car lol
