I’m wondering if I can use my old moisturizer over it because my old moisturizer is more hydrating.
I know that moisturizers can be used under prescription tretinoin, especially at first, to lessen irritation.
You could also just switch back and forth between moisturizers every night.
Have you seen this thread?

Hugs to you. It's DD's first year in public school. Calling something or someone "cringe" is very common and usually said in a joking way. I agree that it's unkind but most kids would not have taken it so seriously. It is going to be okay.

DH wanted me to tell you all how much he appreciated your input and suggestions. The two of us went on a road trip yesterday and we talked a lot about this in the car. I even printed out your comments to read to him. We're looking at things completely differently now and I think we have a good plan for saving for DD's major life events.
You are all invaluable friends to me.

Thanks, all! The link @Bootsie posted was very helpful in terms of estimating costs.
@bolt. and others, we were not planning to mention the fund to my DD, but I admit it never occurred to me to call it something else. I learn a lot here. Thanks for the great suggestion. 🙂
We don't care if she never gets married as long as she is happy. We're just working on a new budget and that's the only thing we hadn't thought to include. @KSera, we do have a separate college fund. DH set it up literally the same night I told him I was pregnant! He is a planner.

I used a combo retinol / hyluronic acid nighttime product for quite a while and was happy with it. Recently I've switched to prescription tretinoin because I have a lot of dark spots / sunspots I'm trying to address.
After several months of using retinol, my skin did look noticeably better and I think younger, too. Just speaking from my personal experience: Iit should improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles and likely even out your skin tone a bit. The wrinkles will still be there but be less noticeable. It should make the skin on your neck appear a little smoother. It doesn't do anything for jowls (alas!) or bulging veins.
I did use it under my eyes. That said: when I noticed flaking skin or excessive dryness from the retinol, I switched to a collagen / purely moisturizing cream for a night or too. Dryness under the eyes is not good.
Hope that helps! Sorry my formatting is wonky.

Thanks, @Corraleno! I just ordered some. The price is great, too! 🙂

@Corraleno, how are you liking the Haruharu sunscreen? I'm thinking of trying it.

@Bambam, thanks! I'll edit my original post with more parameters.

DH and I have decided we should start putting money away for DD15's (possible) wedding someday. She's never dated and there is no urgency. 🙂
We plan on giving her a set amount and telling her she can use it for a wedding, reception, honeymoon, down payment on a house, whatever she wants. She's pretty frugal and will likely not spend the full amount on the wedding. I think she would find it illogical. 🙂 However, we want her to be able to have a nice wedding if that's what she wants.
We're trying to come up with a reasonable figure to shoot for. If you've been involved in wedding planning in the last five years or so, I'm looking for the approximate cost of various types of weddings, such as:
Ceremony + cake and punch
Ceremony + homemade / potluck reception at our church (no cost to rent)
Ceremony + sit down dinner at a venue
Ceremony + sit down dinner and dancing at a venue
Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated! I told my DH the Hive knows all. 🙂 \
ETA: This would be in a low cost of living area with perhaps about 150 guests.

I love, love, love to organize and clean out.
I'm good at working with preschool through elementary kids.
I am friendly, pleasant, and kind, although I'd also be happy working at home all day and not interacting with people at all. 😉
I'm good at finding homes for unwanted items--I know where they can be used and where to take them.

How is this different than the Vikings, the Rangers, or the Cowboys?
This meme is referencing the Redskins, who finally and thankfully changed their name to the Commanders. "Redskin" is a racial slur.
Names like the Chiefs and the Braves are still used. I don't love those names either, but they are not at the same level as Redskins.

I've loved dollhouses my whole life, and I recognize that brand from the 1980's! What a great find. 🙂

I've always used regular fans, mostly box fans. For me, they drown out more noise than the white noise machines.
I can't sleep without white noise, and a regular table fan is *by far* my preferred option.

You've already received lots of great ideas. I do think some of you are underestimating the joy of party favors for little kids. It's a little thing that brings a lot of delight both to the birthday child and his or her guests. Yes, maybe it's a bit of a pain, maybe it's impractical, maybe you personally find it annoying. But it makes kids happy. 🙂

The mesh step in harness is very easy to put on. The closures are on the top. The straps Velcro together then there is one buckle to secure and then 2 d rings to hook the leash. It fits like shirt or vest so the dog may not mind wearing it longer for your parents.
Yes. We've used this one for the past five years and have been very happy with it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076BVWL6V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
Note that it's specifically a small dog harness, so the sizing is a little different. My dog is 14 lbs. and wears a large.

Color me surprised! I did not know it was still around.
I really want to know if the cat is okay now, but I can't find that info anywhere. I'm hoping that if the cat was euthanized or passed away, it would have been reported.

I'm a Ravenclaw and I'd say DH is, too. DD likes Slytherin best. She is a very good and kind person, but she likes their ambition and probably their cleverness.

Years ago,I found the exact recipe on the Kraft foods website, but that company and website has gone through many changes over the years, and I can’t find it now.
@City Mouse, is this it?

Medicine stock up/clean out
in The Chat Board
Posted
These are the things I keep stocked:
First aid items
Tums, Pepto-Bismol, Imodium, Ex Lax
Tylenol, Aleve, Advil, baby aspirin (for dog)
Nighttime and daytime cold/flu meds, cough suppressant, antihistamines, decongestant, cough drops, nasal spray
Sleep aids
Poison ivy prevention and treatment
Anti-itch gel, cortisone cream
Rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, witch hazel
Sunscreens
Contact supplies
Shampoo, soap, moisturizers
Deodorant, toothpaste
A few extra favorite makeup items
A few other misc. things
(I use mostly generics meds but I used trade names here.)
I do keep most prescription meds. I am cheap and I have some chronic conditions for which prescription meds are helpful. Plus, who knows what's going to happen in the world. I think I've only had one (very old) prescription not work as well as a newer one, but other than that no problems. I store them away from the main medicine cabinet. Liquid medications I don't keep as long.
