  1. The Shadowline brand has been around since 1914. I'm guessing part of the price is just for the name.
  2. My dress up trunk when I was little was partially populated with my mom's cast-off silky nylon nightgowns. We thought they were fancy. 🙂 My nieces and nephews still dress up in them. One is sleeveless and floor-length (and red, with a plunge neck!). Her 60's prom dresses are also in there. ❤️
  3. We've been following it for a long time and have no doubt it's real.
  4. So cute!!! I'm amazed at how quickly you made it!
  5. Wow, how wonderful! Someone had some readers or was a teacher, I think. 🙂 Love it.
  6. I'm so sorry. If it were me, I would take her in tomorrow. Hugs to you all.
  7. "Why are you seeking the living One among the dead? He is not here, but He has risen." Luke 24:5 "...We have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe." 1 Timothy 4:10 Happy Easter! ☀️ I hope you all have a wonderful day.
  8. The thing that irks me is the shrinking amount of fabric in the front of the underwear, even in briefs. Not everyone has a Brazilian wax, you know? 🙂 My current favorite underwear are Vanity Fair Radiance 360 Comfort Briefs from Walmart. They add a little smoothing, they don't ride up, they come in nice colors, and they are relatively inexpensive. I suppose they do have a granny underwear fit, but the silky fabric helps them be somewhat flattering. Love the wide waistband too--no narrow or uncovered elastic!
  9. This type of attitude drives me crazy. People have a hard time throwing things away, so they send their trash to others and consider it charity. 😞 It really make me angry when people do this for Operation Christmas Child boxes. I've seen it over and over when it clearly states in the instructions "new items only." ETA: I know a lot of these people mean well. But poor people are every bit as deserving of nice things as people who are well-off. It's often the luck of the draw in life--where you are born, how you are raised, where you go to school--that determines what you have.
  10. If you'd like to stay with Mennonites or Anabaptists (or on properties owned by them), check out this website: https://mennoniteyourway.com/ Hosts in the "printed directory" request a fair donation. Hosts on other sections of website state how much they would like guests to pay. It's a way that Anabaptists show hospitality and has been around since 1976. 🙂 ETA: Suggested donation is $15 a night per adult, $2 a night per child, and $5 per meal.
  11. We did find her Facebook page, but she hasn't been active there (that we can see) for about a year. Someone here told me that if she has her posts set to private, we would not be able to see new posts, so hopefully it's that. A boardie who is on Facebook messaged her but has not heard back; however, this might be due to her privacy settings, too. Sorry we could not find out more. 😞 Thanks so much to those who helped me look. ❤️
  12. I would not be concerned. I take moles off myself occasionally using ligation (tiny rubber bands) and have had no problems pulling them off when they are dead. If you didn't already have it checked a couple times, I might be more cautious.
  13. Black flats and a black top or cardigan or scarf.
  14. I'm so sorry. Dogs are very adaptable. I can only imagine how hard it is for you, but she will be fine and happy. Sending love and huge hugs. We are here for you. ❤️
  15. DH and I have started meditating together. We are looking for guided meditation, about 20 minutes long, not too woo. 🙂 Any recommendations?
  16. How could I forget Psych and Monk? My favorite childhood show was The Brady Bunch. It's so corny, but they really had great actors. @Terabith, I thought the first season of Supernatural was the best. I liked the individual stories better than the conspiracy stuff by far.
  17. Firefly Supernatural Star Trek (the original series) Breaking Bad Better Call Saul Survivor Amazing Race (Terabith, we love Resident Alien, too!!)
  18. Sending hugs and love. I understand about Sid. I love the little prizes and flashcards you give away in addition to the books. It would have seemed like a treasure chest to my DD! It sounds like the neighborhood really appreciates you! Please take a little time before deciding to give it up.
  19. I don't know her, but I do know her name from the time she posted her video. I'm not on Facebook and don't know if she is, but if someone wants to check, PM me. ETA: A couple people are working on this.
  20. DD says Sapphire. 🙂
