  1. Got the animal dissection set, the writing thing and an evolution set. I fall badly for curriculum 😂 Used a 10%off coupon: BestYear
  2. Both products look neat. I'm not familiar with this website...so, you buy digital downloads and then print what you'll use?
  3. My interests haven't changed much, I just don't have time to pursue them as much as I'd like to. I like to scrapbook, do puzzles, reading (about homeschooling, Saints, God...any good read I can get my hands on).
  4. Aaawwww!!! How sweet!!! Thanks for sharing 😊
  5. I liked your wording. We resumed school a week ago. No idea when we'll finish the current cycle. I refuse to worry about it anymore, we just do as much as we can and hope for the best
  6. Walked and brushed dog Breakfast Math and spelling with dd To do: Laundry Mail cards More school Go to library Kids to piano Have a blessed Monday!
  7. Fund me account? Expecting to inherit houses? Asking for money, cashing check and not even acknowledging it? Sorry. I wouldn't give him a dime. I'd totally ignore the link
  8. Is there some sort of girls' troop nearby? Would she be interested? Our dds are part of an AHG troop and have made valuable friendships there.
  9. My computer has never let me in the forum, it says it's not a secure site. I can only access it on the cell phone
  10. Church Dishes Bday party Now resting Hope y'all had a blessed Sunday!!
  11. That's not very nice :( Have you talked to him about it? Does he think that's effective and appropriate communication?
  12. We do M-F. W is taken by enrichment classes, and at least every other week we have a fieldtrip. Sometimes fieldtrips take half day, or the entire day. Saturday is for chores, errands etc, and Sunday is for Mass and our rest day. Not sure how to get more done, but really need to find a way...

  15. I can only speak for our experience, and I am sure every troop/group is run differently, and it highly varies on the area, troop leaders etc. We tried Girlscouts a couple times. 2 different daughters, about 7-8 years distance between both experiences, 2 different troops/different leaders etc. Both times, WE WERE NOT impressed. We did do a couple fun activities (like a hike, and a horses activity). Other than that? The meetings were mostly play time, they earned badges with minimum effort. None of our dds knew for what had they done to earn a badge, they just got them and it was something cute to put on their vests. About half of the year the main focus was on selling cookies. When you ask any of our dds (now 20 and 11), their most vivid memory from GS is that they sold cookies. With all this, and the fact that GS supports organizations that we cannot support, GS is just a big NO for us. Our 2 dds (11 and 10) have been in AHG for 4 years now. It has been an absolute blast!!! We have done SO much with the troop! Camping, hikes, prolife marches, visiting the elderly at nursing homes, feed my starving children, daughter and dad events, wreaths for America, skating...all this on top of having to work hard to earn their badges. It truly has been a fantastic experience!! And yes, it is a religious based and patriotic group...but in our family we can never have too much of God and love for our country. The more the better!
  16. Listening. I'm in the same boat, but right knee and pain for a week now.
  17. Whoa! I don't have many suggestions, but sympathy. Your post made me emotionally exhausted. I'm not sure if a mother's helper can help with this, but I'd try very hard to work with the 5yr old. You mentioned ADHD for the older kids, do you think there's something going on with him or it's just his attitude/disposition? If there's nothing wrong with him I'd try to find someone who not only plays with them, but can help enforcing a routine that hopefully in the long run will benefit everyone. I have very little tolerance for what you described with your 5 yr old. Slowly but surely I'd try to nip it in the bud. With a baby coming the last thing you need is that type of behavior :( Good luck!! Hope your pregnancy is going well!
  18. For the oldest I'd keep my eyes open for deals. I usually do groupon, local flavor, and living social deals. I've bought $20 worth of food for $5 (with a coupon), pedicure deals, bowling etc. For youngest I'd keep eyes open for Amazon daily deals (sometimes when they have board games, building toys etc for sale) For all I'd try Goodwill once in a while?? It's such a hit or miss! I recently found a brand new NFL puzzle and a cap, our local team, for $1.99 each (they each retail for over $12)
  19. Lazy morning today Make grocery list-go grocery shopping Laundry Finish prepping salads for tonight Have kids do chores in afternoon Have a blessed Saturday!
  20. Another vote for cooking as a family. And the other activities mentioned...great ideas suggested. I was reading your blog for a bit...what an adventure!!!! Hope things get better soon
  21. Dollar store is our friend, for certain stuff. Toilet cleaner Aluminum trays (to carry meals, don't worry about getting container back) Diced garlic Sunflower seeds (without shell) Cranberries Egg slicer Vegetable brush Thank you notes/blank notes 0.7mm refill for mechanical pencil Some school supplies (white boards, card board) Paper items for kids bday parties Gift bags Eucalyptus Epsom salt for baths Seasonal paper plates Hair ties (thick ones work well for us) Body wash for kids
  22. I sometimes wonder about this. We do our dishes by hand (by choice. We do own a dishwasher), and we've been fine not "sanitizing"
  23. Sorry, can't help much on that since I'm not very consistent/knowledgeable about it. I take an over the counter multivitamin. Sometimes I take B12 by itself, also have been taking pomegranate (in pills). Would like to learn/read more about magnesium... have heard that increasing magnesium intake can be helpful? Haven't had a chance to look into it
