  1. Sorry for the panic...okay, I've gone back and more closely read everyone's advice to Amy. I will try cutting dairy out and see if that helps. Oh, how I will miss eggs. Unfortunately I have no known access to raw dairy, not even totally sure what that is, :) but will research it further. Oh, my, a new adventure.
  2. Sawyer (almost 7 mos) also has eczema, and I had absolutely NO clue that it could have something to do with food allergies. His is mainly on his legs. They are circular or oval patches with the skin slightly raised and a little red. I have noticed that they sometimes appear more red. At first I thought he had ringworm! When I showed the doctor and she diagnosed eczema she didn't mention anything about food. As a baby I had an allergy to cow's milk. Do I need to try drinking soy milk or what should I do? For now I guess I will just watch to see when he reacts to anything. Thanks, Amy, for starting this thread. Dawn
  3. You also might check out this blog: Hearts and Trees. She is putting together sewing school mini-kits. I just bought one last week, so I can't review it. I'll post later on. She also has a post about putting together a sewing box for children. I have really enjoyed looking through her blog. HTH, Dawn
  4. This is only my first year, and I only have the one dd (K5), but I have really enjoyed doing my own thing. When I first decided to homeschool, I thought about a boxed curriculum because I am not the most organized person. I didn't want to get started and then flounder because I had put too much on myself. However, I am very glad that we pushed through. Dd is able to do some 1st grade work in certain subjects. I am able to pick and choose between all the resources, and pull together a plan that works best for her. I'm able to offer challenge in the areas she is ready to grow in without pushing her in the areas that she is not. Down the road we may look into some, but for now this works well for us.
  5. Glad you got that appointment and hope you're feeling better and better!
  6. I love it! I also love the slogan. I showed the logo to Dh and he too thought it looked great. Is your bookstore going to be online, too?
  7. Yay! You did it! BTW--I love your blog! Your youngest looks so much like what my ds will probably look like too soon...my the time just runs right by, huh?
  8. I'm very excited to have it back; however, being able to see how many people have viewed a post makes me nervous. :)
  9. BTW--in the box it shows the code, but when you hit preview, you should see the blue highlighted link.
  10. Hi! Are you typing the name of the link and then clicking on the "insert link" button, and still not getting a workable link? That's all I did, I think. Maybe someone with more tech knowledge can help, if so.
  11. For once my house is actually clean so no major housecleaning projects this weekend. My mom and stepdad are having b'days next week, so we may take them out to dinner tonight. There was a chance the weather would turn snowy...unfortunately, here in MS that "chance" rarely becomes a reality. Sigh.:) Hope you both have a great girl's weekend!
  12. Yay! I just commented on your blog that I hoped you got the email soon.
  13. Robin Sampson's Heart at Home blog post that gave some great links to housecleaning and homeschooling schedules from http://www.dandelionseeds.com/.
  14. All change involves loss...even good change. I consider this board a good change, but I will miss the old board, too. Guess it's the conservative in me. However, I was up this morning as though it were Christmas, ready to unwrap the new board! :)
  15. This is my first post, so who knows what will happen! My blog link should be in my signature.
