Snow day here and tomorrow
shower, bake, make roast in my dutch oven that I keep forgetting I have
dd works less than 2 miles from our house, however I'm so glad she's working from home today, and hopefully tomorrow. She parroted back most accidents happen within one mile of your house lol
oldest is off work too, I kind of wish they lived close again because all of the adult kids would just go out with youngest and have a blast and in all of this snow!

Well, I don't know if you all read my post in janeway's thread regarding my oldest. But he called me to tell me that his best friend at the time through all of the stuff that he went through killed himself today. Apparently life has not been good to him. I'm just so sad for my son and the former friend. His parents truly sucked and bought him out of everything he had ever done including several crimes and he was in prison... Was released on probation again, his baby mama called my son hysterical. They never gave him consequences and we all hated each other. Well, my son was praying He was saved because he really did have a hard life, most of how own making, but honestly that kid never had a chance with parents like his. He was a grown man but still 14 years old. I cried for him and my son and the little one he left behind.
I'm so thankful that oldest got out of that life, so grateful to God that he made it. I just pray the young man is with Jesus.

Youngest is back at school today. His last semester at high school 👍
Oldest is annoying me , dd is not my favorite person to be around lately 😔
Still no laundry in the laundry room from dh
Cat and I are rebonding....so far so good
Pick up youngest, he gets to choose what I make for dinner
Portion our meats and freeze
Walk hopefully, expecting a storm tomorrow
Just feeling bummed and burned out and used

I did my walk alone. We all watched some TV for a bit. One by one they all finally went to bed lol , I'm enjoying my quiet time .

I don't want to leave you with no hope Janeway. I know you are a Christian as am I , and honestly the best thing to come out of our family's journey was how we grew in faith and never ever stopped praying for my child and never gave up on him. Jesus was by our side the entire time and while it definitely didn't feel like it sometimes, in hindsight I can see how He was always there for us. I am praying for you and your family and I pray your son has an easier path.

Dinner was good, dd is making cookies
Dh is going to teach me how to make chicken broth tomorrow.
I need to buy containers for the 25 lb bag of rice and for the dried beans. It kills me that I used to have all this stuff.

I went to Sam's and they were having a huge sale on pork chops so I loaded up
Youngest is super nervous about going back to school tomorrow, so if y'all could pray for him I would appreciate it!
Now I'm going to use the bathroom and then go on to the grocery! And I already have dinner because I bought two rotisserie chickens from Sam's.

We ordered out. I do however have my grocer list ready for tomorrow, along w/some new recipes.
Youngest flaked on me for tomorrow lol
Dh still hasn't delivered his laundry to the laundry room
Dh and I decided to change our walk to early afternoon, it's just too cold
Throwing away all the leftovers and cxap junk food

I usually serve it with turkey meatballs but if I wanted to stretch it, I'd prepare the meat the same way as the Dragon Noodle recipe above and mix it in.

I'm late to the party today, was enjoying my lazy morning.
Not much on my list today. Too cold.
Tomorrow is errand/ pay bills day.
Make breakfast for dinner.
Dh better bring down his laundry.
Avoid my dd, she is being particularly bossy and selfish....she does not get to parent me 😔
We have our accountant do our taxes. They've been doing them since we moved here. Their prices have almost doubled in the last year! We think they're trying to cull their clientele....
Dh and I used to do them ourselves until we moved, had Capitol gains tax, plus he telecommutes and we claim his office.
I'm enjoying the noise the neighborhood kids are making, laughing and playing in the remaining snow.
Eta: no more eating out, must come up w/ a menu and plan. I ordered another crockpot, hopefully it doesn't get lost again. Will do a mini one for this week.

Horrible voice to text lol
Homemade quesadillas for dinner because the roast wasn't going to be done in time. I'm on my second batch of brownies cooking in the oven. The dishwasher is almost completely loaded. I'm waiting until I take a shower and wash my hair, then I'll come downstairs into the kitchen and probably have to load more dirty dishes. I put the roast back in the oven with the last batch of brownies
Then I'll start DHS laundry that he finally brought down, and hopefully my neighbor best friend will be ready for me.
I keep laughing at that picture of my granddaughter my son next with me 😅
