  1. Oh thats good! I feel a lot better about being able to stick with this up through high school :D Thanks!
  2. I considered that. That about doubles the assignments. At one chapter or bridge a day, she would still get through two books in a year (or at least start the second). Is that about the rate others move through the books?
  3. I have used MUS and I'm not so sure it's our style. So I just switched to Life of Fred and it is definitely more our style! The problem is, there are only 33 chapters. At the rate we are going, she should finish up the first book in about 5 more weeks :tongue_smilie: Any suggestions on stretching LOF out?
  4. Thanks for the link! I've done a bit of reading there already :) It's good to see others doing fine in the same situation that I am in! Gives me hope :tongue_smilie:Now if only my books would get here......
  5. This is the first full year I am homeschooling my 10 yr old. We pulled her out of 4th grade last year in Feb. and just experimented with curriculum for the rest of the year to see what worked and what we liked. Now I am reading up on classical education and it is appealing to me. I'd like to learn more. Is there somewhere online that explains the trivium really well? I do have The Well Trained Mind and Latin Centered Curriculum on order, but I'm a bit impatient :tongue_smilie: Also, anyone have experience starting with the classical method this late in the game?
  6. We use the response book as well. Just like Jenstet, I struggle to keep a handle on loose papers, so its really nice to have.
