I'm bummed too. Used TT this past couple of years and our house was quite peaceful.

My twins have not mastered English this year. We are using R&S English 6. So far their test scores have averaged 70 and 76%. Would you repeat English 6 or go on to English 7, as was my original plan for next year as they will be in 7th? Thank you for your opinions! Betsy :bigear:

We are working with pronouns. I have been silently struggling with how detailed this book goes into (ie, Is it really necessary for my kids to know what a predicate nominative is?) Now my kids are asking the same questions. I know I'm the teacher and the book is a tool. Is all this detailed, technical material truly necessary? Do kids excel if they just know the basics of grammar? I'm getting a bit overwhelmed. Thank you for your input. Betsy, mom of twin 12 year olds.
