  1. Gluten free chicken nuggets have been a hit here. Also beef taquitios are made with corn tortillas (check the box on the specific one you are buying).

Our Costco carries many gluten free options such as the nuggets, toquitos, bread, pizza etc so that help even out the cost as the packages are bigger. The GF bread at Costco is a very large loaf compared to the tiny loafs I see at the regular grocery stores. They also carry gluten free crackers so DD will make crackers and cheese with fruit. Not the best healthy lunches but she does combine with fruit and veggies.

She found she does not like most GF Mac an Cheese as most brands rice pasta and can be kinda gummy if not cook properly.

One tip about GF at Costco (at lease at mine anyway) in order to make room for all the seasonal food items, they stop stocking the GF items my DD liked. No bread, no nuggets, no pizza, no pasta. I now know to stock up in Oct. next year

Eggs can be good and quick too.

My DD gluten issues also presented as a tummy ache and has since cleared up (diagnosed about a year ago). I wish you and your DD the best. It can be hard to adjust but it is so worth it to have a happy DD again!

  2. I am in search of some advice on HS level grammar. My DD will be in 9th next year and she loves grammar. She is considering being an editor as a profession.

The problem we are finding is that most of the grammar curriculum for this age/grade level is review and very repetative. Do you all have any suggestions?

  3. Hello,

My DD6 (almost 7) is going to begin a new running club in our area. It is a local mom that loves to run and I am very grateful as I do not run and my DD loves to and is very fast and has great endurance.

My question to the Hive is what shoe do I buy her? I do not want to spend stupid amounts of money but I also don't wan to damage her growing body with cheap shoes. Anyone have any insight or suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

  4. I got one 6 weeks after I had my 2nd daughter and I never stopped bleeding. I had it removed 6 months later and it turns out it had partially perforated my uterus. I would not get an IUD again. Than being said some women have a great experiance.

Another, more personal, reason I had it removed was I found out that it did not prevent conception only implantation (although with the hormones on the Mirena it is less likely to concieve than the copper IUD). This was a problem for me. It may not be for you but just thought I would mention it.

  5. I use Plan to eat. It can pull recipes off line or enter my own and then schedule them. I can create a shopping list that I can addjust for what I already have. It is 5 buck a month ($4.95). I have a button on my browser and if I find a recipe I like i push it and, ususually, I can upload it to PTE from where I am on the internet.

  6. My oldest's birth was tramatic and I was having trouble breastfeeding due to slowness of milk coming in, c-section, lack of knowledge and support etc.

I was at my 6 week appointment in tears( not being able to BF felt like the final confirmation that my body did not work properly) and my DOCTOR said, " There are two kinds of cows in this world, meat cows and milk cows. You are a meat cow." ........with a straight face.

Needless to say I gave up. :(
